NINUTES OF THE REGULAR MONTHLY METING OF THE MAYOR AND ALDERMEN OF THE UNITED CITIY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE, ILI:IN�IS HELD AT THE CITY HALL ON APRIL 12, 1962 AT 8:000 P.M. Mayor Windett called the meeting to order and directed the clerk to call the roll. Upon roll being taken the following aldermen were present: 2nd ward - William Randles, Delbert Trummel 3rd ward - Duane Hayden, Richard Mitchell The minutes of the regular monthly meeting held on March 8, 1962 were read and ordered approved. The police report for the month of March 1962 was read and ordered approved. The report on the streets and alleys and the water department was read and ordered approved. Alderman #layden seconded by alderman Randles that in the first wardAdel Walker and Jess Dunkl.e replace Harry Stading and Rose Hinckley as judges of election and in the thir.d !wdrd:.,Joyce Schlapp replace Madge Renniger as an election judge. Upon roll being taken the following aldermen voted aye: Randlds, Trummel, Hayden and Mitchell. Carried. A general discussion was had regarding ker-few hours in the city of Yorkville. This is to be tables until the May meeting. A general discussion was had regarding water backing up onto the Robert Fey and Charles Howell property. This was tabled until a later date. Alderman Trummel .renomted that the Farm Breau would leas a protion of their land to the City o .66 per year and the city to furnish gravel for a parking lot. City Attorney hse was insturcted to contact Mr. nankes in regards to his property for use as a parking lot. Alderman Hayden moved that the City of Yorkville extend the present garbage contract with Archie Bieritz for the period of three years also that Mr. Bieritz be paid an additional $25.00 per month for the purpose of keeping the dump leveled, Alderman Mitchell seconded this motion. Upon roll being taken the following ald- erman noted aye: Randlds, Trummel, nayden and Mitchell. Alderman Hayden seconded by alderman Trummel that the clerks salary and the treasurers salary be set at $425-00 for the clerk and $350.00 for the treasure with 50% coming from the general fund and 50% comming form the water fund. Upon roll being taken the following aldermen voted aye: Randles, Trummel, Hayden and Mitchell. Nayes none. Carried. Mr. Victor Smith requested that the city pay half the cost for sidewalks past his home and the home of Mr. Nels Walker on Jefferson Street. This was refered to the street and alley committiee for study. There being no futhur business the meeting was adjourned until Saturday April 21, 1962 at 1:00 P.M. for the purpose of canvasing the votes in the election held on April 17, 1962. Clerk
