MINUTES OF THE REGULAR. MONTHLY MEETING OF THE MAYOR AND ALDERMEN OF THE UNITED
CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YOR,;VILLE, ILLINOIS HELD AT THE VILLAGE HALL ON FEBR*
UARY 8, 1962 AT 8:00 P.M.
Mayor Windett called the meeting to order and directed the clerk to call the
roll. Upon roll being taken the following aldermen were present.
1st Ward Elden madden
2nd Ward Delbert Trummel, William Randles
3rd Ward Duane Haydnn, Richard Mitchell
The minutes of the previous meeting held on January 11, 1962 were read and
ordered approved.
The clerk then read the bills as follows:

The bills were refered to the finance committiee to be paid if found correct.
The report on btreets �nd alleys and the water department was read and approved.
The police report for the month of January 1962 was read add approved.

A general discussion on parking on East VanEmmons Street was had. It was
decided that there shall be parral parking on VanEromon street from Bridge
street to Heustis Street and that the Police Department shall erect signs
to that effect and enforce said parking ordinance.
A general discussion was had on the nankes property at Bridge and Hydraulic
Streets. The Street and alley Comkittiee was instructed to meet with the
Farm Bureau and find if the City could use so#e of the porperty.
A general discussion was had on the Public service building to see if the
city could lease said building. On motion of Alderman Randles seconded by
alderman Mitchell that layor Windett contact the Public Service company and
see what the final agreement would be. Upon roll beingtaken all aldermen voted
aye.
A general discussion was had on the proposed re-zonning bB the dickson Porperty
on Main and Hydraulic Streets. The clerk read the recommendations of the
Zonning Board of Appeasl that said property be rezoned. Alderman Hayden
seconded by alderman Mitchell to accept the Zonning board of Appeals recomendations,
Upon Roll being taken the following aldermen voted aye. Madden, Raddles,Trummel
Hayden and Mitchell. Carried.
The street and alley committiee was isntructed by Mayor Windett to study names
changes for Adams and Washington Streets.
Engineers Estimate #J for the Boncar-..Constion Company was presented. Upon
motion of Alderman R ndles seconded by alderman Hayden that payment be with-
held until wavers could be supplied from supplies to the Honcard Company
could be obtained and an adjourned meeting could be held February 17, 1962
at 1:00 P.M. for discussion on payment. Upon roll being taken the hollowing
aldermen woted aye: Madden, RaWUes, Trummel, Hayden and Mitchell.
ThePrevalling Wages Resolution was presented. Alderman Hayden seconded by
Alderman Mitchell to accept said resolution. Upon roll being taken the following
aldermen toted aye: Madden, Randles, Trummel, Hayden and Mitchell.
Alderman Randles made a motion that the salary for Police x8gistrate be s6b
at $100.00 per month. Alderman Madden seconded this motion. Upon roll being
taken the following aldermen voted aye. Madden Randles, Trummel, Hayden and
Mitchell.
Alderman Madden offered his resignation as alderman so he may run for Mayor
in the April hlecition.. Alderman Randles seconded by alderman Kayden to
accept said resignation.. Upon roll being ikken all aldermen voted aye.
There being no futhur bisiness the meeting was adjourned until C ruary 17,
1962 at 1:00 P.M.
