11yor Tindett called the meeting to order and directed the clerk to call the roll.
Upon Roll being taken the following aldermen were present:

The report on 'the water department and the streets and alleys was read a nd
ordered approved.
Eayor ;�indett then ap ,ointed Alderman Delbert Trunmel to the water and sewer
committiees to fill the vacancies left by the resit nation of Russell Hughes.
Alderman Trummel then re )orted on the proposed parking lot on the Illinois
Bell Telephone Company )oroerty on Hydraulic Street. The cost of the parking
lot �.jould be around w350.00 r,lus the fact that we would have no guarantee 66
the length of time the city could use said parking lot. Upon motion of alder -
man litchell seconded by alderman Madden to reject said parkins lot all alder-
voted naye. Carried,
Alderman Radden seconded by alderman litchell that the committiee loft Ki.nto
the possib.�lity that the City might use the Hankes property on Bridle Street
for parkin;. Upon roll being taken ill alderman voted aye. Carried.
A geneal discussion wn,s had on the Kendall County Civil Defense Ordinance.
A motion to accept said ordi ,ace bas made by alderman Randles seconded by alder-
man Trummel. Upon roll being '-aken all aldermen voted aye.
:r. Garrison, Supertendient of the Yorkville school system requested ii8m
for the homecomming parade on Onctobe 21, 1961. The route of said parade to be fromFox Road on Bridge street north to Ya.in Street. and then to the footrall
field. Alderman A'itchell seconded by alderman that this be a, )roved and also
that Chief Martyn contact the State Police for assistance with said parade.
Upon roll being taken all aldermen voted aye.
Alderman Randles seconeded by alderman Trummel that the ,aster line and water
hydrant in the Leonard Olson sub-division be approved sgbject to a six inch
water main. Upon roll being taken all aldermen voted aye.
Alderman Randles seconded by alderman L'itchell that any city official going
to the Illinois I.'_unicipal League Convention Mall receive Scents per mile
plus hotel coats and registration fees. Upon roll being taken the following
aldermen voted aye. L".adden, h..ndles, Trummel and I.`itchell. Absent riayden.
Alderman Randles seconded by alderman Trummel that Cheif Lagtyn shall attend
a police meeting at the Pines Resturant in Ottawa on on October 25, 1'61 from
9 AIv to L PL, and shall receive x`5.00 expense monies. Upon roll b eing taken
the following aldermen voted aye: L'adden, Randles, Trummel, RXPtWX L`i tchell.
A general discussion was had on the purchase of the Public Service Company
office and g:r ge oh Hydraulic stree. Mayor 'indett was instructed to
find the cost of Said puilding.
