MINUTES OF THE REGULAR 1407THLY MEETING OF THE MAYOR AND ALDERMEN OF THE U^?ITED CITY
OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE, Y'_'RKVILL,E, IL,11N("IS HELD AT THE VILLAGE HALL ON SEPT-
EMBER 8, 1960 AT 8:00 P.M.
Mayor Windett called the meeting to order and directed the clerk to call the roll.
Upon roll being taken the following aldermen were present:
1st ward - Russel Hughes
Elden Madden
2nd ward - William Randles
Delbert Trummel
3rd ward - Duane Hayden
Richard Mitchell
The clerk then read the minutes of the privious meeting and they were ordered approved.

The bills were refered to the finance committiee to be paid if found correct.
The police report for the month of tiugust was read and approved, Chief martyn
also asked permission to attend the police convention on October 3rd and 4th.
On motion of alderman Hayden seconded by alderman Trummel to grand permission
to chief Martyn and to give him and expense account of $25.00. Upon roll being
taken all aldermen voted aye.
The report on streets and alleys and the water department was presented and
approved. Mr. price alson asked ppermision to attend the sewer operators conference
from October 17th to 21st. This was granted.
The final engineers estimate on the Gluth Brothers for water and sewer mains in the
Fourmount addit&on were presented. Water 983.55 less 75.00 for work the city completed
and 630.24 for sewers less 75.00 for work the city completed. Om motion of alderman
hughes secpnddd by alderman Mitchell to pay said bills. Upon roll being taken the
following aldermen voted aye. Hughes, Madden, Randles,, Trummel, Hayden and Mitchell.

On motion of Alderman Randles Seconded by alderman Hayden to pay the Calrson Const Co.
1500.00 on accountthe following aldermen voted aye, Hughes, Madden, Handles, Trummel
ayden and Mitchell.-
Mr. Ohse gave a report on the Sewer Zmprvement rund. A general discussion was had on
same. On motion of alderman Hughes seconded by alderman Madden that the committiee
shall have descreation to act on how to loan the montry out for interest. Upon roll
being taken the following aldermen voted aye, Hughes, Madden, Randles, Trammel, Hayden
and Mitchell. Nayes None, Carried.
A resolution to authorize tax antipication warrants for payment of A. H. Carlson Co.
in the amount of $3000.00 'was presented. Alderman Trammel seconded by alderman
Hughes to issue the said tax anticipation watrnnt. Upon roll being taken the following
aldermen voted aye, Hughes, Madden, Randles, Trummel, Hayden and Mitchell. Carried.
Alderman Hayden seconded by alderman Madden for those who attend the Municipal League.
conaenction to receive 7¢ per mile, Hotel costs and registrarion costs. Upon roll
beingtaken the following aldermen voted aye, Hughes, Madden, Randles, Trammel, Hayden
and Mitchell, Nayes None, Carried.
Alderman Hughes seconded by alderman Madden to release $800.00 From the Water
construction Fund to pay the Davis Construction B"d Upon roll b Bing taken the
following aldermen voted aye, Hughes, Madden, Raddles, Trummel, ayden and Mitchell.
The student council requested bpe:.-cession to close route 47 from Somonauk to Main street
fortthe home comming day parade to be held on October 1st, Alderman ayden seconded
by alderman Trammel that this request be granted. Upon roll being taken all aldermen
voted aye. Carried.
A report was made by W. E. Deuchler on the proposed sewer maiim4 A general discussion
was had on same. Mr. Deuchler reported that he will have the final plans prepared by
the next regualr meeting.
