MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING OF THE MAYOR AND ALDERMEN OF THE UNITED
CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE, ILLINOIS, HELD AT THE CITY HALL, YORKVILTE,
ILLINOIS ON JUNE 9, 1960 AT 8:00 P.M.
Mayor Windett directed the Clerk to call the roll and upon roll being taken the
following Aldermen were present:

The Clerk then read the minutes of the previous meeting and were declared in
order.
The Mayor then directed the Clerk to read the bills.

The bills were refered to the finance committiee to be paid if found correct.
The Police report for the month of May was read and approved.
The reports on streets and alleys a nd water department for the month of May was
read and ordered approved.
The Jones and Gillman Tree service gave a report on dutch elm disease d requested
the job of removing the diseased trees. This was tabled.
The apporation ordinance was presented and read by the city attorney. On motion of
alderman Madden seconded by alderman Mitchell to accept said ordinance Upon roll
being taken the following aldermen voted aye. Hughes, Madden, Randles Trummel,
Hayden and Mitchell. Nayes none, carreid.
The National Boulvard Bank of Chicago was designated as a depository for funds on the
water bond issue, by the motion of Alderman Randles seconded by alderm Hayden, Upon
Roll being taken the following aldermen voted Ore. Hughes, Madden, Ran es, Trummel,
Hayden and Mitchell.
Mr. Leon Kapelsky presented a petition to vacate the alley between his property and
that of Mr. Robert Marklein. Upon motion of Alderman Trummel to tabel this untill
the next regular meeting alderman Hughes seconded. Upon roll being to en the following
aldermen voted aye. Hughes, Madden, Randles, Trummel, Hayden and ldith ell.
Mr. Walter Deuchler gave a report on the new will. Alderman Randles s conded by
Alderman Hayden to increas the sixe of the pump to 800 gal with a 100 orse power
engine. Upon roll being taken the following aldermen voted aye. Hugh s, Madden,
Randles, Trummel, Hayden and Mitchell.
Mr. Larson of the Carlson Asphalt Co., gave a report on street repairs Alderman Ran-
dles seconded by Alderman Trummel to pay the Carlson Asphalt Co, $700.00 from the
Motor Vehicle Tax fund and $800.00 from the General Fund. Upon roll being taken the
following aldermen voted aye. Hgghes, Madden, Randles ,Trummel2 Hayden and Mitchell.
A gene.-al discussion was had on the Radar. On motion of alderman Hay en seconded
by Alderman Randles to purchase this machine on time. Upon roll being taken the
following aldermen voted aye, Hgghes, Madden, Randles, Trummel, Hayden and Mithcell.
Chief Martyn Requested summer uniforms for Goins and Dunkle. Alderman Hughes
seconded by alderman Madden to purchase these uniforms. Upon roll bei g taken the
following aldermen voted aye., Hughes, Madden, Randles, Trummel, Hayden and Mithcell.
There being no futhur business the meeting was adjourned.
