Cheif martyn requested that a gas chamber be erected to destroy stray dogs that are impended by the p6lice department. It was refered back to the p6lice committiee for futhur study. Mr. !-!Testbee of the oulbic service company was present and discussed the new franchise between the city of Yorkville and and said compnay. Mr. Homer G. Dickson and Mr. George Grose gave a talk to the council on the advantage of owining or leasing equipment for street work and diging of dithces etc. The council to inspect said equipment of Saturday Januray 17th. A general discussion was had on the nvoposed new wells for the city. On mobion of alderman Randles seconced by Aldernan hqtes to advertise for bids ,or the deep well and other evnilpment. Upon roll being taken all aldermen voted aye. Nayes none carried and so ordered. A general discussion was had for the liQii.or license for the American legion. It 1� 11 was refered back to oormttiee for futhur study. ON motion of ylderman handles seconded by alderman Madden to advertise for bids to spray for ducth elm di-sense. Upon rol. being taken all aldei-aen voted aye: 'Na-',res none carried and so ordered. There being no futhur business the meeting was adjourned.
