City Council Minutes 1959 07-09-59 July 9, 1959 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MONTHLY 'MEETING OF THE MAYOR AND ALDERMEN OF THE UNITED CITY OF THE VILLAGE OF YORKVILLE, ILLINOIS, HELD AT THE VILT,AGE HALL, YORKVILLE, ILT,INOIS AT 8:00 P.M. THURSDAY, JULY 9, 1959. Mayor Windett called the meeting to order and directed the Clerk to call the roll. Upon roll being taken the following Aldermen were present: lst Ward - hussel Hughes 2nd Ward - William handles Delbert Trummel 3rd '"ard - Duane Hayden Richard Mitchell Absent - Elden Madden Minutes of the regular monthly meeting of the Mayor and Aldermen held on June 11, 1959 were read and ordered approved. Tax 320.00 LeRoy Johnson, Labor 80.00 Max Riemenschneider, Night watch and car expense during vacations 262.00 The bills were refered to the finance committiee to be paid if found correct. On motion of alderman Hayden seconded by alderman Hughes to transfer the $10000.00 loan from the Yorkville National Bank to the Water Fund fo pay for water main instulation. Upon roll being taken all aldermen voted aye. arried. Walter E. Deuchler and associates presented Enginegr s eistmate #3 to the anount of $9,000.00 to be paid the W. J. Lewis Constructinn Comppny on labor and materials for water main instulation. On motion by Alderman-Hayden seceonded by Alderman Hughes to pay said estimate the council voted unamioulsy aye. The Boys Scouts of Yorkville requested permission to sell Doughnuts in the park on August 14 and 15. The permission was granted. The Clerk then read the petition and report of the zonning boar& Of Appeals in regards to the Frank Calabreese rezonning. Upon motion of Alderman Randles seconded by alderman Hughes that a charge of :; 25.00 be made for publishing and cost of hearing on rezonning to become effective July L, L959. Upon roll being taken all aldermen voted aye. Carried On motefln of Alderman Hughes seconded by Alderman Trummel for Walter E. Deuchler and associates to do eigineering_for water mains on State and Adrian streets and sewer mains on State and Dolph S+reets. Tpon roll being taken the following aldermen voted aye, Hughes Randles Trunnel, Hayden and Mithcell. Nayes None. Carried. Mr. Ross of Walter E. Deuchler Assoicates gave a report on needed street work. Upon motion of Alderman Hayden seconded by alderman Randles the following resolution was presented. (see attached) Upon roll being taken all aldermen voted aye. Carried and so ordered. The sewer ordinance was presented by city attorney ohse. 01derman Mithcell made a motion to acceAptsaid ordinance. Upon roll ` eing taken the following aldermen voted aye. Hughes, Randles, Trunnel, Hayden and Mithcell. Nayes none. Carried. The Water Works Oridnance was presented by city attorney Oh,�,e. Alderman Randles seconded by Alderman Mithcell.to accept said ordinance. Upon roll being taken the following aldermen voted aye Hughes, Randles, Trummel, Hayden and Mithcell. Nayes None. Carried. The police report was read and approved. The reprot on streets and alleys and dater department was read and ordered approved. There being no futhur business the meeting was adjourned.
