Minutes of the regular monthly meeting of the Mayor and Aldermen of the United
City of the Village of Yorkville, Illinois, Held at the Village Hall, Yorkville
Illinois on Thursday, uctober' 9, 1958 at 8:OOP.M. ,
riayor Windett called the meeting to order and directed the clerk to call the roll.
Upon roll being taken the following aldermen were present.

Yori'ville and the Nigh School board enter into angreement for sewer mains for
the new school (see attached resolutioh) . Unon roll being taken the foll6wing
alderman voted aye: Hughes, Rand-Les, Tr=el, Hayden and ''Iitchell. Nayes none.
Absent Aad-'en. arried and so ordered.
Upon
motion of alderman Kitchell seconded by alderman 'urmell that the Clerk
advertise for bids for the sew�-,r construction. The bids to be opened on
No-Sember 24 at �-00 (see attached resolution)
Upon roll being taken all aldermen troted aye. Nayes None. Alderman "adden absent.
Carried and so o(rdered.
Their being no futher business to discuss the meeting was adjourned.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City of Yorkville has heretofore
entered into a lease with the Department of Public
Works and Buildings, State of Illinois, to lease cer-
tain real estate owned by the State of Illinois, and
acquired by said State of Illinois by Warranty Deed
on January 6, 1949, from the Chicago, Burlington and
Quincy Railroad Company, and
WHEREAS, said above referred to lease has, or is
about to expire and the City Council is delirious of
renewing said lease, and
WHEREASW the State of Illinois Department of
Public Works and Buildings, Division of waterways
has submitted to the City Council a new lease for
a term of five (5) years, beginning on the lst day
of October, A.D., 1956, and ending on the 30th day
of September, A.D., 1963, and
WHEREAS, it is to the best interests of the
United City of the Village of Yorkville, Illinois,
that �F{id new ].ease be er.terf�d into with the State
of Illinois Department of Public v�orks and Buildings,
NOW THEREFCRE BE IT RESOLVED, that the United
City of the Village of Yorkville:, shall, by and through
it 's Mayor and City Clerk, enter into a written lease
with the Stare of Illinois Department of Public Works
and Buildings, Division of Waterways, to lease from
the State of Illinois, for a term of five (5) years,
beginninEi on the 1st daj of October, A.D., 19 8, and
ending on the 30th day of September, A.D., 1963, that
portion. of the property of the State of Illinois ac-
quired by Warranty Deed of January 6, 1949, from the
Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad, that was
previously leased by the Village of Yorkville from the
State of Illinois, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City
Clerk be, and they are hereby authorized and directed,
to enter into said written agreement with the State
of Illinois and to affix their respective signatures
and the seal of said Village to the ,,mitten agreement
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS., the Yorkville High School Board has offered
to finance thd construction of a sanitary sewer line from the
Yorkville Hij;-,,h School to the Yorkville-Bristol Sanitary District
interceptor sewer, and
WHEREAS,, said sewer upon construction would become the
property of the United City of the Village of Yorkville, and
WHEREAS, the United City of the Village of Yorkville is
interested In procuring a sewer line for the benefit of the
residents lying TjortL of the Fox River in the United City of the
Village of. Yorkville, and
' WHEREAS., the City Council is also interested in procur-
ing a water line for residents lying North of the Fox River in
the United City of the Villa,7e of Yorkville, and
WHEREAS, it Is to the best interests to the citizens of
the United City of the Villa--e of Yorkville that both water and
sewer be supplied to the residents lying North of the Fox River
in the 'United City of the Village of Yorkville.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,, that the United City of
the Village of Yorkville proceed with all speed to construct the
aforesaid sewer line and also to construct a water line which will
run from the present Village water system across the 41ox River up
to a point where said line would intersect tLe center lines of
Somonauk Street and 14est- Street in the Borough of Bristol and in
accordance with the engineer's plans and specifications as sub-
mitted to the United City of the Village of Yorkville on August 12,
1958.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said financing of the
water main extension stall be, in so far as possible., accomplished
by the issuance of Water Revenue Bonds.
AND BE IT FURTFER RESOLVED, that in view of the co-
operation of the Yorkville high School Board and their plan to turn
over sufficient funds to finance the sewer line from the new high

school to the Sanitary District interceptor- sewer to the Jnited
City of tl--,e Village of Yorkville .; that tLe water hook-up for the
Yorkville Higt School be done at no expense to tLe Yorkville Higti
School and no fee charged th-e Yorkville hign School for sa-id
hook-up.

with all has-U'-e to prepare final plans and s-,)ecij'ications, prepara-
tory to advertising for bids for the construction of both tLe
above referred to water line and sewer line so that construction
may be commenced and both projects completed by an early date in
the spring or summer of 1959.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the United City of the Village of Yorkville,
has heretofore by resolution duly adopted, determined that it is
to the best interest of the United City of the Village of Yorkville
to proceed with the extension of a water main to the North side
of the Fox River and also with the extension of a sewer main to
the North side of the Fox River, and
WHEREAS, the City Council is deairious of completing
both projects as soon as possible.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Clerk be
authorized to advertise for bids for construction of the water
main across the Fox River to a point where the said main would
intersect the center lines of Somonauk Street and West Street
in the Borough of Bristol, and also the City Clerk shall be
authorized, and he is hereby authorized, to advertise for bids
for construction of a sewer line extending from the Sanitary
District interceptor on the North side of the River to a point
near the new Yorkville High School building; '
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that in said advertisement
for bids for the water line and sewer line, the Clerk shall call
for said bids to be received at 8:00 ofclock P.M. at an adjourned
meeting of the City Council to be held on the 20th day of November,
A. D. , 19582 at the City Hall,
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk shall place
said advertisement for bids in the Kendall County Record so that
the f advertisement for the same shall appear not later than
