Mayor Windett called the meeting to order and directed the Clerk to call the roll. Upon roll being taken the following aldermen were present. lst Ward- Russell Hughes Elden Madden 2nd Ward- William Randles Delbert Trummel 3rd Ward- Duane Hayden Richard Mitohell Minutes of the regular monthly meeting of the Mayor and Aldermen held May 8, 1958 were read and ordered approved. The Police report for the month of May was read and ordered approved. The report on the streets and alleys and the water department was read and ordered approved. Chief of Police Martyn asked for two day to attend the Chef's of Police con- vention at Springfield, Illinois. On motion of Alderman Hughes seconded by alderman Hayden that Chief Martyn be given two d.'3.ys and twenty dollars expense money. Upon roll being taken all aldermen voted aye. Carried. A general discussion was had on the condition of the spptic tank run off area at the Calabreese garage. The Health Committee was insturcted to talk with Mr. Calabreese. An ordinance establishing Dutch Elm Disease Control was presented and read by the clerk. After discussion being had upon motion of Alderman Kicthell second- ed by alderman Hayden that the ordinance be adopted. Upon roll being taken the followong aldermen Voted aye: Hughes, Madden, Randles, Trummel, Hayden and Mitchell, Nayes; none. Carried and eo ordered. Mayor Windett appointed a Dutch Elm controll committee mut of Madden, Randles and Mitchell with Madden to serve as chairman. An ordinance establishing the Municipal Retailers Occupation Tax was presented and read. A discussion was had and upon Motion of Alderman Hayden seconded by Alderman i'latchell to accept said ordinance. Upon roll being taken all aldermen voted aye. A petition (see attached) was presented by Mrs. Mable Friese to vacate the alley behind her property. After a general discussion xxk an ordinance was presented and read to vacate that portion of alleys Upon motion of Alderman Mithcell seconded by alderman Hayden that said ordinance be adopted. Upon roll being taken all aldermen voted aye. Carried. A general discussion of extension of sewers and water mains in the Borough of Bristol. Upon motion of Alderman Randles seconded by alderman Madden the following resolution was presented. (See Attached). Upon roll being taken the following aldermen voted aye: Hughes, Madden, Randles, Trummel, Hayden and Mitchell. Nayes: none. Carried.
