Mayor Windett called the meeting to order and directed the clerk to call .the roll
Upon the roll being taken the following Aldermen were present:
1st Ward- Russell Hughes

Minutes of the regular monthly meeting of the Mayor and. Aldermen held February
13, 1958 were read and ordered approved.
The Clerk the read the bills as follows:

The Mayor referred the bills to the Finance Committee, the same to be paid if
found correct.
The Police report for the month of r�ebruary was read and ordered approved.
The report on Streets and Alleys and water Department was read and ordered
approved.
The Clerk read a letter from Donald Dirst, Clerk of the Zonning Board of Apnklais
(see attached letter) . The Clerk then read a copy of the petition filled with
with the clerk of the Board of 1pr,eals (see attached petition). Then read
objections filed by Jerome Nelson on behalf of certain objectors (see attached).
Then discussion was had. Attorney Eugene Campbell was present on hehalf of the
petitioners, Jerome Nelson was present on behalf of the objectors and entered
the discussion on be half of the objectors.
On motion by Alderman Hayden seconded by Alderman 1,dtchell to act on the petition
Upon roll } eing taken the following aldermen voted Aye: Hughes, Madden, "andles,
Trummel, Hayden and Mitchell. Nayes: None. Carried.
On motion by Alderman randles' seconded by Alderman Hughes not to accept the
petition. Upon roll being taken the following Aldermen voted Aye: Hughes,
Randles. The following Aldermen voted Nays; Madden, Trummel, Hayden, Mitchell.
Not carried.
On motion by Alderman Madden seconded by Alderman Mitchell to accept said Petition.
Upon roll be:`ng taken the following Aldermen voted Aye: Madden, Trummel, Hayden,
and Mitchell. Nayes: Hughes and Randles. Carried and so ordered.
Where upon the Mayor directed the City Attorney to draft and amien to the Zonning
Ordanince in comforminity with the forgoing duley adopted ordanince.
A general discussion was had on obtaining a night watch man. It was referred back
to the Police committiee for study.
The Food License was discussed and referred back to committiee for study and redomm,-_1
adtions.
A general discussion was had on garbage removal. The Health Committiee was instructed
to contact Archie Bieritz on renewal of the contract.
A general discussion was had on tree removal and trimming. On motion of Alderman
Trummel seconded by Alderman Hayden that tree removal and trimming be done on a
fifty-fifty basis between the property owner and the United City. The United �'ity
to secure bids for same. Upon roll being taken the following Aldermen voted Aye:
`�ughes, Madden, Randles, Turmmel, Hayden and Mitccell. Carried and so ordered.
There being no futhur business to discuss the meeting was adjourned.
