MINUTES OF THE REGULAR M".NTHLY MEETING OF THE MAYOR AND ALDERMEN OF THE UNITED
CITY OF THE VILT,AGE OF YORnTILLF, ILLINOIS, HELD AT THE VILLAGE HALL, YORKVILLE
ILLINOIS, ON THURSDAY DECEMBER 12, 1957 AT 8:00 P.M.
Mayor Windett called the meeting to order and directed the Clerk to call the roll
Upon the roll being taken the following Aldermen were present:

Minutes of the regular monthly meeting of the Mayor and Aldeamien held November
14, 1957 were read and ordered approved.

The mayor reperred the bills to the Finance Committee; the same to be paid if found
correct.
Bids were opened for garbage removal for the months of January, Febuary, March and
April 1957.

On motion of Alderman handles seconded by Alderman Madden that the bid submitted
by Archie Bieritz be accepted. Upon roll being taken the following Aldermen
voted Aye: Hughes Madden, Randles, ilrummel, Hayden and Mitchell. Nayyes: None.
Carried and so ordered.
The Police report for the month of No,rember was read and ordered Approved. . There
was a general discussion of the new speed laws.
On motion of Alderman Mitchell seconded by Alderman Madden that the State of Illinois
conduct a survey of cars to lower the speeds through the business district and in
the school zones. Upon roll being called all Aldermen voted aye.
The report on the street and alleys and water dept was read and uordered approved.
The Pinball ordinance was read and upon motion of Alderman Mitchell seconded by
Alderman Randles that it be adopted. Upon roll bemgg taken the following Alder-
men voted Aye: Hughes, Madden, Randles, Trummel, Hayden and Mitchell. Nayes:
None. darried and so ordered.
The building 'ommittiee recommended the adoption of the present building code to
cover the Borough of Bristol.
On motion of Alderman Randles seconded by Alderman Hughes that an extension of the
phone from the Village Hall be installed in the Fire Barn with the fire department
to pay the cost yearly. Upon roll being taken all Aldermen voted aye.
On Motion of Alderman Turmmel seconded by Alderman Madden that the First Johnson
and Hughes sub-division be accepted. Upon roll being taken all Aldermen noted Aye.
On Motion of Alderman Randles seconded by Alderman Mitchell to purchase a machine
gun for the police department. Upon roll being taken all Alderman voted Aye.
Carried and os ordered.
On motion of Alderman Hughes seconded by Alderman R ndles that the Ineeting be adj-
ourned to December 26, 1957 at the regular time and place.
Clerk
