Sirens - Graff received another bid package. 6. ) r The main issuelis getting the fire siren changed over by March 1. Graff spoke with the Fire Chief. We need to do seine educational staff for the public. We should do something at the schools, neighborhood watch meetings and WSPY. Th: re will be some sharedcost for the City. The siren at the fire barn will be tied into KenCom. Both warning airens need tolsound the same. All; the cable companies have been mandated by the Federal Governg�ent that they must interrupt all programs when there are storm warnings. ( 8. ) Yorkville School District Strategy Plan - Plan was passed out. We have not gotten much direction from the school boat The school board has not made any attempts to accept this report because they were getting new people. Before we do mu6h with fit we should make sure the school boars[ is going to a(:cept. i Graff would like to discuss at nest meeting. Bring waY comments or suggestions with ways to implement to the ' ext meeting. 9. ) Discuss the Process to Create a Critical Incident Investigaticr. Protocol - Update - At the last States Attorney's meeting, Graff talked about protocol. The States. Attorney did recommel-C looking into this. Kane and DuPage Counties have one lin placer. You can provide a protocol that say you will do what its in tha: protocol and if you say no, you need to give a reason.) Investigating ;is problem solving. This as to have a policy inn place. Graff is working on getting copies of protocols. New Business i 1. ) Discuss the Proposed Police Facility P1i3n - Nanninga calk Graff for the size of the Game Farm house. Total space is 2,,144 not including the bathrooms. Graff has been looking at some new trends with security. Interview rooms would be for suspects only. There would not be any holding cells. We work �o well with the County that right now there is no reason not to continue usingitheir facilities. The plims that have been . drawn up may have to be stamped by an architect. We need to find out for sure and find out what the cost will be. There i ; some room for growth. The new design shows the City Ei. gineers in the main building. (They would be moved from Tower Lane. ) We are looking for efficiency. We need to determine the changes and the cost of the changes. We are looking a.t adding a basement. We should contact Scott Hill first because he did the plans originally. Graff would like a sally port to be included in thi3 bid package. 2. ) Discuss FY98/99 Budget - Kot is wondering how �the bud_Tet process works. Nanninga will ask the department heads- Ito get their proposed budgets turned into him. He will go ov?r them with the Mayor and then he will send back to the department fcr the final revision. The budget does nct normally go to the committee. Graff normally works with Graff. Graff would like to make sure everyone is aware of the squad car issue. Squad cars are ,the first priority and then M1 V s. We should get money from Undesser in April. Kot feels that we are looking at; two separate budgets until our h ousing- issues -are deeded. Prochaska suggest figuring out the operating cost, bec: use yot have to have s;o much to operate. Then capital expenditures ardl those need toibe prioritized. Graff will do a report Text week and will have Isome numbers at the next meeting. Additional Business - Letter About Noise on Sanders Court - This was discussed. Graff could remember what was det-Aded. Graff will check into it. The noise wits coming from a home. The people coriplaining would have had to sign a complaint. Then it would have been handled as a d.:sorderly conduct call. ;Barking dogs is a nuisance. Graff will. need to check into threatening dogs. Graff is looking into mediation conflict.
