Chairman Callmer welcomed Alderman Wold to the Public Safety
Committee.
Discussion was held concerning the items below as identified by
number:
1. Park Ordinance
Alderman Prochaska presented the Park Ordinance to the
Committee. Chief Graff discussed the ways that it could be
enforced by the department. The Committee also went over
changes that should be made in the wording of the Ordinance.
2. Criminal Activity Ordinance
The Criminal Activity Ordinance was brought to the Committee to
discuss and make changes. It was decided to amend part of the
Ordinance, and it will be brought back to the Committee after
the amendments are made.
3. The September Activity reports were distributed to the
Committee and discussed.
4. Chief Graff presented a breakdown of how the overtime is being
utilized by the Department. He also presented to the Committee
a request for the adjustment of some of the line items for the
FY 94/95 budget.
5. FBI National Academy
The Committee will be recommending that a Resolution in support
of Chief Graff attending the FBI National Academy be drafted by
the Council. The Committee requested that Chief Graff write up
a statement of what his expenses at the FBI National Academy
will be.
6. The next meeting of the Public Safety Committee will be on
Monday November 21, 1994 at 6:30 p.m. at the Yorkville Police
Department.
