Discussion was held concerning the items below as identified by
number:
1. Chief Graff informed the Committee that the Police department
did not get the Police Hiring Supplement Grant they had applied
for.
2. The IDOT Highway Safety Project grant was given to Yorkville.
This will give them $7,513.00 to use for overtime "selective
traffic enforcement". It will focus on areas such as speed
control and D.U.I.s.
3 . The Organizational Chart for the Police department was
distributed to the Committee. This was a list of the Officers
and their designated duties.
4. Chief Graff informed the Committee that the Anti-Gang Ordinance
is still being reviewed by Attorney Kramer. It will be reviewed
by the Committee next month and presented to the Committee of
the Whole.
5. Chief Graff gave the Committee a 6 month review of Crime
statistics that compared the stats for 1993 with the current
1994 stats.
6. The monthly vehicle report was given to the Committee.

7. Chief Graff informed the Committee that Bristol-Kendall EMS has
five motorola radios he would like to purchase for the
department. He requested permission from the Committee to make
an offer for them.
8. A recommendation by the Committee was made to Chief Graff that
further infractions by businesses who have a Tobacco License
should be reviewed by the Committee with a recommendation
presented to the Committee of the Whole. Chief Graff reported
that he would speak with Attorney Kramer about amending the
Ordinance to state the penalties for offenders.
9. Dates for the Community Forums that will be done at all Wards
were decided. This will be an opportunity for the community to
meet with the police and open up communication between the two.
Ward One will be Tuesday, October 11, 1994. Ward Two will meet
on Tuesday October 18, 1994. Ward Three will be Wednesday
October 26, 1994. Ward Four will meet on Wednesday November 2,
1994.
