Discussion was held concerning the items below as identified by
number:
1 . Chief Graff advised that preliminary work has been done on
revising the budget for this fiscal year in order to balance the
projected deficit in several line items. Chief Graff has advised
that this process will be complete by the October committee
meeting.
2 . Chief Graff also advised the committee the part-time officer has
resigned. Discussion was held regarding the need to replace this
position. As of this time this position will not be filled.
3 . Chief Graff presented to the committee major budget requests for
next fiscal year as requested by the administration Committee.
Chief Graff proposed the following recommendations:
A. The purchase of a new squad car
B. A program to purchase a common firearm for all officers
in which the officers will pay back the city by the end
of the fiscal year. This will also include the increased
purchasing of ammunition.
C. The purchase of portable radios with holders.
D. Increase in personal salaries.
E. The additions of two full time police officers.
Discussion centered on the addition of the offficers
would assure that there would be a minimum coverage of
two officers-at all times, as currently there are periods
of time when only one officer is on duty.

Discussion also was had regarding the necessity of part-
time officers if additional full time officers are hired.
4 . The October meeting was set for Tuesday October 5 at 5 :00 p.m.
at City Hall.
