BOROUGH OF YORKVIILLE, ILLINOIS, HELD AT TYKE YORKVILLE VILLAGE
HALL AT 8 P.M. ON AUMST 29s 1957•
The meeting was called to order by Ellsworth Windett,
11President, The Village Clerk being absent James Yrice Ms
1appointed clerk pro-tem. Upon the roll being called the followin
Trustees were present; William Randles, Delbert Trummel, Leonard
;.Olson, Walter Olsen, Carl Schobert.
The following Trustees were absent; Russell Hughes.
Minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read.
Bills were presented and referred to the finance committee
into be paid if found correct.
E; It was moved by Trustee Randles, seconded by Trustee
ISchobert that the mayor and aldermen of the newly created united
city of the Village of Yorkville receive as compensation for thei
'1 services the stun of y�'10.00 for all regular and special meetings
attended with no compensation being received for adjourned
;meetings. Upon roll being called all Trustees voted aye.
It was moved by Trustee Trummel, seconded by Trustee
I Randles that the clerk for the united city of the Village of
Yorkville recd.ive as compensation for his services the sum of
110375-00 per year. Upon roll being called all Trustees voted aye.
It was moved by Trustee Olson, seconded by Trustee Olsen
that the Treasurer for the united city of the Village of Yorkvill
receive as compensation for his services the sum of ap300.00 per
;,year. Upon roll being taken all Trustees voted aye. . �
Trustee Randles moved, Trustee Schobert seconded the 1
motion that the present Village Clerk for the Borough of Yorkvill
pay all bills up to and including August 29, 1957. Upon roll
being called all Trustees voted aye.
Trustee Trammel t ,.en introduced the following resolution:
Be it resolved that the Village Treasurer of the Borough; of York- -
ville be and is hereby directed to transfer all funds , except;
those necessary to pay the bills through August 29, 1957, to the f
.:Village Treasurer for the united city of the Village of Yorkville
;Upon roll being called the foregoing resolution was unanimously
ii adopted.
President Windett then made a short speech thanking the

'Board for its past co-operation. Attorney Clark made a speech e'
jthanking the Board for its past co-operation.
Trustee Randles then_ moved that the Village Board of the
,:Borough of Yorkville adjourn without day. Trustee Schobert ff''
seconded the motion. Upon roll being taken all Trustees voted ayu
; and the meeting was adjourned.

The following Trustees were absent: George Whitfield, Winifred

Bills as follows were presented, read and on motion of

;lowing, vote, and ordered paid by proper warrnt, those appearing
'!in the resolution of transfer a part of the minutes of this

It was moved by Trustee Johnson, seconded by Trustee

receive as compensation for his services the sum of 0375.00 per

It was moved by Trustee Johnson, seconded by Trustee
IBlaelcnan that the treasurer of the united city of the Village of
,,Yorkville receive as compensation for his services the sun of
';;;300.00 per year. Upon roll being taken all Trustees voted aye.
Trustee Blaclaaan moved, Trustee Johnson seconded the
'!motion that the present Village Clerk for the Borough of Bristol
lipay all bills up to and including August 29, 1957. Upon roll
1being called all Trustees voted aye.
'l (Trustee Johnson then introduced the following resolution: ,

71hereas, heretofore there was su iraitted to the voters of
11the Village of Bristol and the Village of Yorkville Kendall
!,County, Illinois, the following proposition;--"Shall the Village
'of Yorkville , Illinois and the Village of Bristol, Illinois,
';be united into a single municipality under the name of the Villa

11of Yorkville, Illinois, with the Aldermanic form of municipal
!government?" under Article VI of the Cities and Villages Code; an
Whereas , the said proposition carried and said Villages
rare now united into a single municipality under the name above
recited; and
;j Whereas, officers of said united city have been duly
' elected the terms of said officers beginning August 2�,, 1957; and ,
Whereag, pursuant to the aforesaid Article VI the terms
of the officers of this Village expire on August 29, 1957;
i NOW Therefore, on this the last day of the tenure of offic
lof the officers of the Village of Bristol, Kendall County, Illino s,
be it resolved by the President and Board of Trustees of the
!Villa,-e of Bristol, as follows:
1. That all assets of the Village of Bristol, Kendall
11,County, Illinois , be and the same are hereby transferred and set
I over to the aforesaid United City of the Village of Yorkville and

the Treasurer and other officers of this Village are hereby dir-
ected to transfer to the Treasurer of said United City or to the
proper officers of said United City, all funds and property of
i this Village, provided, the Treasurer shall first pay out of the
proper funds in his hands the following Village warrants heretofolle
authorized, ordered paid but not now paid, viz; From General and
Garpage fund: Archie Bieritz c 60.00; Village of Yorkville
20.00; H. Hills r X1£3.00; Village of Yorkville n57.50; Perkins
Builders 0300.00. From Gas Tax fund: Bristol township $40.0 ;
Yorkville Hardward `'73. 5; Carl Bromeland "32i .00; J.01. Stahl
Construction Company 182.34-
2. That the amount of gas tax to which this Village is
entitled now in the Treasury of the State of Illinois, pursuant
to the terms of the T;iotor Fuel Tax Law, be and the same is hereby
assigned to said United City, subject however to the payment of
any allocated amounts to any person, firm or corporation entitled
thereto,
3. That the President of the Board of Trustees and Villag
Clerk are hereby authorized to execute anddeliver all instruments
which may now or hereafter be necessary to carry out the intent
hereof and the uniting of the municipalities, and to receive and
make report of the audit of this Village under the Illinois Muni-
cipal Auditing Law,
President Sleezer thanked the Board for its past co-opera-
tion.
Trustee Blackman then moved that this Board adjourn with-
out day,, Trustee Hayden seconded the motion. Upon roll being
taken all Trustees voted aye and the meeting was adjourned.
