January 7, 1957 The regular monthly meeting of the President and Board. of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville , Kendall County, Illifnois was held at the Village Hall of said Village on Monday January 7,1957 and was called to order by President Kapelsky at 7:30 &!blookcP©N Finding present on the Roll Call were : President Kapelsky, Trustees Windett, Hughes, Olsen, Olson, Randles,. Schobert, . Clerk Merkel and Treasurer Gauer. Minutes of the regular meeting of December 7, 1957 and the adjourned regular meeting of Dece,ber 17, , 1957 were read and so ordered approved. Roll Call - Ayes- Trustees WindettTji, Hughes, Olsen, Olson,. Randles and Schobert. Nayes - None Carried and so ordered approved . The following Building Permit Applications were read-Rvenel3 Gghas to erect dwelling house- George Dickson to erect garage on present house on Van Emon Street. On motion by Trustee Olsen- seconded by Trustee Olson that the above mentioned be issued Building Permits. All Trusstees present voting favorably- carried and so ordered approved. Janu ra y 7, 1957 The Clerk then read Jess Dunkle's resignation as Deputy Marsha .1 On motion by Trustee Windett- seconded by Trustee Randies that Jess Dunkle' s resignation as Deputy Marshall be acaop dd. All Trustees present voting, favorably- carried and so ordered approved. On motion by Trustee Windett-seconded by Trustee Hughes that hereafter all statements covering purchases,which provide for dis- count if paid within ten days, by the Village of Yorkville shall as soon as received by the Village Clerk or Supt. of Water Dept. or Supt. of Streets and Alleys be checked by the Supt. of the respective department and in turn be checked by and approved for payment by the Chairman of the respective committee and in turn b turned over to the Village Clerk for payment so that the Village receive& the discount allowed on the statement. All Trustees present voting favorably- carried and so ordered approved. On motion by Trustee Olsen- seconded by Trustee Olson that Walter Deuchlermake tentative plans and necessary specifications for installing submersable pump in Well #1. All Trustees present voting favorably- carried and so ordered approved . An Ordinance Providing for the Numbering of Buildings and Streets in the Village was read. On motion by Trustee Hughes - seconded by Trustee Olson-. that the above Ordinance by passed and adopted. Roll Call- Ayes- Trustees Windett, Hughes, Olsen, Olen, Randle and Schobert. Nayes- None Carried and so ordered approved. On motion by Trustee Randles -seconded by Trsutee Olson that hereafter when- the Village performs a Water Main Hood- Up,water will be connected to the property owners water supply only to the Buffalo Box and that this should be adhered to in the strictest enforcement . All Trustees present voting favorably- carried and so ordered approved. The President appointed the following Committee to see that all Buildings and Lots are hereby numbered as soon as a master map of the Village has been made. To act as Chairman L. Olson- Committmeman R.Hughes . January 7, 1957 There was considerable discussion on Bu"dingInspections,, rate of payment for inspection and the Building Code in general, the following Resolution wo read by the Clerk. Whereas : It is necessary to appoint a Building Inspector to en fo ree the Building Code And Whereas : Robert Smith has been apipifaated by the President to act as Building Inspector And Whereas: it has -,been determined by the Board that atleast three inspections on each Building Applicatio be made. And Whereas : the Building Inspector shall aid a minimum for each application with added provisions that techthiaal inspecting dealing with certain plumbing and elcetrical installation may re- quire additional expert inspections. The Building Inspector is authorizied to hire Deputy Building Inspectors to received a mimimum of $5.00 per inspection. Now Therefore Be It Resolved : that Robert Smith is hereby appointed Building Inspector from and hereafter this date until the first meeting of the Village Board in May 1957 ulless sooner removed by the Board. Said Robert Smith to be. in charge of in- spections and enforcement of the Building Code and to receive compensation , a mimimum of 15.00 per each application with authority to hire Deputies when necessary . . Said Deputsies to receive mimimum compensation of 05.00 per inspection& On motion by Trustee Windett seconded Trustee Hughes thtt the above Resolution be passed. Roll Call- Ayes- Trustees Windett, Hughes, Olsen, Olson, Randle and Schobert. Na yes- None Carried and so ordered approved.
