--- --The regular monthly meeting of e res en and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois
was held at the Village Hall of said Village on Monday December
3, 1956 and was called to order by President Kapelsky at 7:30
o' clock P.M.
Finding present on RoU Call were: President Kapelsky, Trustees
Windett, Hughes, Olsen, Olson, Randles, Schobert, Clerk Merkel.
Visitors, Mr. Fourmount, Sam Flyte and Chester Vial.
Minutes of the regular meeting of November 5, 1956 were read
and ordered approved.
November reports of the Village Clerk's Chief of Police acid
Supt. Streets and Alleys and Supt. of Water Department were read.

The following Building Permit Applications were read.
Mae Howell to erect an 10 x 14 addition on house.

On motion by Trustee Olsen seconded by rruttee Hughes
that Zoning Officer issue building permits to the aforementioned.
All Trustees present voting favorably carried and so ordered
approved.
The following Resolution was read.
Wheras, the Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville,
Illinois, did on the 29th day of October 19560 at an adjourned
meeting of said board, accept bids for the construction of a new
street light system and removal of portions of the existing ligh
ing system and for the removal and reconstruction of portions of
the existing sidewalk.
And Whereas, Sverre Ugland, of 19 E.Jefferson St. , Joliet 21
Illinois, did submit the lowest Uld best bid, namely; a bid in t
total amount of $14.980.00 for the performance by him of the afor -
said work and did agree to complete said work in accordance with he
provisions of the contract and specifications within 60 calender
days after the acceptance of his proposal by the Board of Trustee ,
And Whereas, the Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkvill
did accept said bid and enter into a contract with the said Sverr
Ugland- said contract being dated Novemeber 14, 1956,
And Whereas, it has now come to the attention by the Board of
Trustees of the Village of Yorkville, Illinois that the lateness
of the season makes it exceedingly risky to pour concrete and do
other work necessary to the completeion of the contract heretofo
entered into; it is the opinion of said Board that performance of
this contract be posponed until spring of the year,
Now Therefore Be It Resolved, that the performance of the
contract entered into November 14, 1956 between the President
and Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville and Sverre
Ugland, be extended by mutual agreement,
And Be It Further Resolved, that the performance and final
completion under the contract be completed by not later than May
1957, and that a "Rider" be attached to the aforesaid contract
extending the performance date and final completion date to May 1
1957,
And Be It Further Resolved, that the President and Clerk of
the Village of Yorkville, be, and they are hereby, authorized to
enter into such an agreement with Sverre Ugland.
Upon motion by Trustee Windett, seconded by Trustee Sohobert
that the above Resolution be adopted.

and complete copy, of the minutes of the resolution adopted by said board at a
regular meeting held on December 3, 1956, insofar as the same is pertinent.

held on the 3rd day of December, 1956' at the hour of 8:00 P.1A. at the Village
