City Council Minutes 1956 11-05-56 November 5, 1956
The regular monthly meeting of the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois
was held at the Village Hall of said Village on Monday November
59 1956 and was called to order by President Kapel sky at 7:30
o'clock P.M.
Finding present on the Roll Call were; President Kapelsky,
Trustees Windett, Hughes, Olsen, Olson, Sohobert. Clerk Merkel,
Treasurer M.Gauer and Mr. H. Salisbury. Absent 'trustees Randle.
Minutes of the regular meeting of October 1, 1956 and adjourn d
meeting October 29, 1956 were read and ordered approved.
Reports of the Village Clerks Treasurer, Chief of Police,
Supt. of Streets and Alleys and Supt. of Water Dept. were read.

On motion by Trustee Windett- seconded by Trustee Olsen that
bills be referred to Finance Committee and if found correct be
paid.

Carried and so ordered approved.
The Building Code was read in fall by the Clerk and discussed
and on motion by Trustee Hughes- seconded by Trustee Windett that
the above Building Code be adopted and become effective the date
that the printing of the same is completed.

Carried and so ordered approved.
A Building permit application from Dr. Rowen to erect a dwelli
house on Madison Street was read..
On motion by Trustee Olsen- seconed by Trustee Olson thit the
above be issued a Building Permit.
All Trustees present voting favorably - motion was carried and
so ordered approved.
On motion by Trustee Olsen - seconded by Trustee Olson that
Mr. Deuchler make tentative plans and required specifications for
the laying of new water mains an Morgan Street from Ridge Street
south to Franklin Street.

On motion by Trustees Olsen- seconded by Trustee Schobert that
any member of the Village Board desiring to attend the Illinois
Muncipal League Convention, November 10 to 13 can do so and thatt e
Village will meet all reasonable expenses for each member attendi g,

On motion by Trustee Olsen- seconded by Trustee Hughes that
the Light Committee shall meet after one more bid has been procur ed
on one street light which shall be installed on Bridge Street jus
east of the Village Hall so that the contract can be let to the
lowest bidder.
