City Council Minutes 1956 04-02-56 April 2, 1956
The regular monthly meeting tin of the President and Hoard of
Trustees of the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois
was held at the Village Hall of said Village on Monday April 2,
1956 and was called to order by President Kapelsky at 7:30 o' cloc
P.M.
Finding present on Roll Call were: President Kapelsky,Trustee
Windett, Hughes, Olsen, Olson, Randles and Schobert, and Clerk
Merkel.
Minutes of the regular meeting held March 5, 1956 and the
adjourned meeting held March 19, 1956 were read and so ordered
approved.
Reportsfor the month of March 1956 of the Clerk, Chief of Police
and Supt. Streets and Alleys and Supt. of Water Works were read.

On motion by Trustee Olson, seconded by Trustee Randles that
bills be reffirred to Finance Committee and be paid if found correct

Carried and so ordered. approved.
The following Building Permit Application were read. Virgil
Rice to erect a small wooden shed on his property on Madison St. :
Hi Salisbury to erect an addition on his barn, so that all his
trucks can be garaged. All ske$ohes conforming with the Zoning
Ordinance. On motion by Trustee Randles, seconded by Trustee Olae
that Zoning Officer issue Building Permits to the above mentioned.
Carried and so ordered approved.
There was some discussion on where to garage the new Village
Truzok, it was decided that the public Property and Building
Committee meet with Mr. Price to see if he would rent his garage.
Sales San Ordinance wh6oh was presented and adopted at the last
regular meeting of the Village Board was read and on motion by
Trustee Randles, seconded by Trustee Hughes that said Ordinance
be adopted as read, thereby confirming the action of the Board
at the previous meeting said Ordinance was adopted by the follows
vote.
Roll Call Ayes- Trustees Hughes, Olsen and Randles.
Nayes- Trustees Windett and Olson.
Absent - Trustee Schobert.
Carried and so ordered approved.
On motion bjt Trustees Olsen, seconded by Trustee Hughes that
Clerk write a letter to State Fire Marshall asking him to inspect
the Wright Building on Bridge street in the Village of Yorkville.
All Trustees present voting favorably.
Carried and so ordered approved.
An Ordinace Concerning Dangerous Buildings was read, on motion
by Trustee Hughes, seconded by Trustee Schobert that the above
Ordinance be adopted and passed as read.

Carried and so ordered approved.
On motion by Trustee Hughes, seconded by TrusteHandlesthat
Insurance on Pump Hous, in town, be increased from $ ,5
$2500.00: contents of Pump House from $3000.00 to
April 2, 1956
to $4,000.00, these above amounts to go into effective immediatle .

There was some discussion as to making payment on the new
Village Tru=ck, on motion by Trustee Randles seconded by Trustee
Olsen that the Water Fund pay g7R two thirds( 2/3 ) of the cost
of the truck, the General Fund one third( 2/3 ) of the cost of the
truck.

Carried and so oradered approved.
On motion by Trustee Hughes, seconded by Trustee Randles that
the Village purchase Police Summer Uniforms for Policeman Martyn
and Dunkle. Uniforms to consist of trousers, shirts and ties.

State Auditor's warrant in the above amount should be received
by your office in the near future.
Motor Fuel Tax money must be kept in a separate fund, deposited
in an independent bank account not to be confused with any other funds,
and disbursed in a regular, legal manner only for the specific purpose for
which it is paid to the municipality. Complete and adequate records of
all disbursements of the above funds must be kept in such a manner
that an audit may be made at any time.
