City Council Minutes 1956 01-03-56 January 3, 1956
The regular monthly meeting of the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois
was held at the Village Hall of saud Village on Tuesday January
3, 1956 ( Meeting held on Tuesday January 3, 1956 due to the fact
that the first Monday in January 1956 was a Legal Holiday- The
Village Ordinance states that no Village Board shall meet on a
Legal Holiday but shall meet on the following date) and was call
to order by President Kapelsky at 7:30 o'clock P.M.
Finding present on the Roll Call - President Kapelsky,
( Trustees Windett, Hughes, Olsen, Olson, Randles, Sohobert and
Clerk Merkel.

Minutes of the regular meeting held December 5, 1955 were rea
and so ordered;;. approved.
The: regular monthly reports of the Clerk and Chief of Police
as well as the Chief of Police's report for the year of 1955
were read and so ordered approved.
Bills were then read as follows:

An applioation for permission to remodel house, sic part of the
house only, no changing sine of the house, just to add windows
a door and to make the appearance of the house much better,
from Jkames Obman, Van Emmdm and Heustis Strs. The Zoning Officer
was instructed to issue Buildin Permit to the above.

and Schobert.
Nayes- None
Carried and so ordered.
Price
Supt. of Streets and Alleys and Water Works gave a very details
report of what the above departments have accomplished during t
month of December 1955.
Discussion was had on ammending the Liquor Ordinance and upon
motion by Trustee Olsen - Seconded by Trustee Schobert that the
Present Liquor Ordinance be ammnended and that the proposed
�! amendments be studied by the Liquor 2M1ZZx* Commission and b
o submitted to the Village Board for discussion and approval at
I the next regular Board Meeting.
Roll Call- Ayes- Tnnstees Windett, Randles and Hughes.
Nayes- Trustees Olsen, Olson and Schobert.
The Clerk declared there being a tie vote, the President was
instructed to vote- upon his aye vote - the vote being favorable
the motion was carried and so ordered approved.
The meeting was adjourned on a motion duly made seconded and
carried.
