City Council Minutes 1955 12-05-55 December 5,1955
The regigg monthly meeting of the President gnd Board of
Trustees of the Village, of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois
was held at the Village Hall of said Village on Monday. December
5, 1955 and was called to order by President Kapelsky at 7630
o'clock P.M.
Finding present on the Roll Call were President Kapelsky,
Trustees Windett, Hughes, Olsen, Olson, Randles_, _Schobert and
Clerk Merkel.

Minutes of the regular meeting held November 7, 1955 were read
and so ordered approved.
The regular monthly reports of the Clerk and Chief of Police
were read and so ordered approved.

9 A letter from Chief of Police Martyn was presented to the Board
sand read by the Clerk, requesting a statement of poliaY concernin
rendering of assistance to Kendall County and Kendall County
!Sheriff in exchange for benefits received from Kendall County and
'Kendall County Sheriff by the Village of Yorkville. After some
discussion - upon motion by Trustee Windett seconded by Trustee
ughes that policy of rendering every assistance in time of emer-
agency to Kendall County and Kendall County Sheriff remain as itc
as in the past.

The American Legion petition requesting Beer Club License havin
;been deferred since the last Board Meeting was brought up for
I iscussion after leave had been first granted the Legion. to file
jammended petition. Discussion having been had it was moved by
rust ee Schobert, seconded by Trustee Randles- that a public hearir.
;be held in order to ascertain the attitude of the Community on the
;question of whither or not the ammendsd the Liquor Ordinance to
!provide for a Club Beer License and that Clerk is dire6ted to
1;publish notice of public hearin� to be held at Village Hall, Thur
ay December 29, 1955 at 7:30 o clock P.M.

Village Attorney Ohse than gave a very detailed report of the
Muncipal League Convention topics which were presented at this
convention.

Mr. Deuchler, being present at the request of the President of
illage Board presented results of a preliminary investigation as
o feasibility and cost of New Street Lights on Brifge Street and
torm Sewer Extension. Discussion was had and on motion by
rustee Olsen, seconded by Trustee Olson that Mr. Deuchler be
irected to make a tentative plan on Storm Sewer, Sanitary Sewer
tensions and New Street Lights on Bridge Street.
Carried and so ordered.
On recommendation of the Police Committee ,oa motion by
rustes Schobert, seconded by Trustee Olsen that Village purchase
two Rota-Beam. Eights , one for Village truck, one far the addition Ll
eputy Marshall's car.
