The regular monthly meeting of the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois
was held at the Village Hall of said Village on Tuesday July 5
1985y(Meeting held on Tuesday July 5, 1955 due to the fact that
the first Monday of July was a Legal Holiday-The Village Ord- iF
inanoe states that no Village Board shall meet on a Legal
Holiday but the meeting shall be held the following date)

Finding present on roll call were President Kapelsky, Trustees

The Electric Timing Device was discussed by Chief of Police
,, Martyr. After some discussioon by the Board of Trustees- the
Police Committee Was instructed to check on the Timer and to
! make a report of their findings at the neat Regular Board
jI Meeting.
On motion by Trustee Olsen-Seconded by Trustee Windett that ii
the Flasher Light on Bridge Street be abolisthed and the Clerk j
�I to inform the Public Service Co. of same.

Harr y Crawford, Richard Brettelle and Elden Madden, The
!i American Legion Committee on converting the Village Property
j� known as "The Old Ball Park" in to a picnic ground, was present
j� and gave it turt_x"t31L:kzxszaxxtsknz their ideas and many
suggestions as to how this could be done. The Public Property
Committee was instructed to work with the Legion Committee and
, decide what could be done. l
�I Franklin Martyn Jr. was present, having been invited by letter)
lj to explain his statement in the amount of $62.90 which was read
Iat the June 6, 1955 Village Board Meeting. No action taken.
The Report and Recommendations of the Zoning Board of Appeals,,I
Village of Yorkville, was presented to the Village Board of
Trustees and was read by the Village Clerk. On motion by Trustee i
Randles-Seconded by Trustee Sohobert that said report which reads!
as follows: That Lot One(l) in Block Four(4) in Blacks Addition
to the Village of Yorkville, be re-zoned from Residential to
Industrial be accepted and approved as read.
Carried and so ordered.

The Annual Appropriations Ordinance was read, having laid over,
from the previous meeting for public inspection and on motion by
Trustee Windett- Seconded by Trustee Olsen that the Annual Appro-
priation Ordinance be passed.

The 'Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Yorkville,
Illinois, after duly advertising, in accordance with the
statutes in such cases made and provided, held public hear--
ing on the 20th day of June, 1955, at 8:00 P.M* *, at the
Yorkville Village Hall to consider the petition referred to
this Board by the President and Board of Trustee a of the
Village of Yorkville, said petition having been filed by; the
Board of Directors of the Farmers Elevator Company of York-
ville, to re-zone the following described property from
Residential to Industrial:
Lot One (1) in Block Four (4) in }

After due consideration, the Zoning Board of Appeals,
on motion of Member Stading, and seconded bar Member Behrens,
that said re-zoning be permitted, the following members voted.

that the aforedescribed property be re--zoned from Residential
to Industrial.

To the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Yorkville, Illinois:
The Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Yorkville ,
Illinois, hereby reports and recommends to you its decision
as follows:—
(1) . That Walter Olsen, and Blanche Olsen as sellers
and James Cookas as buyer heretofore filed and addressed a
petition to you and this board requesting the rezoning of:
One acre of land now oamed by Walter and Blanche Olsen
North of Route 126 near Route 47 in Yorkville, Illinois
adjacent to Cities Service property, the Westerly line
of said tract will coincide with the line of the City
Service property, and the southwesterly line shall extend
southeasterly along center of said Route 126, a distance
of 200 feet, the easterly line of said tract shall extend
from the end of the 200 foot frontage at right angles
to the center of said Route and the northerly line
shall extend ifesterly from the extremity of said north-
erly line to the property line of the City Service so
that the one acre shall be encompassed by said boundaries,
from its present district wherein Farming District uses were
permitted but Business District uses were not authorized.
(2) . That upon said petition being referred to this
Board due notice was given as required by law, and the
ordinances of the Village of Yorkville , of the filing thereof
and the time and place of hearing thereon;
. (3) . That at said hearing on June 27th, 1955, a quorum
of this Board was present and the said petitioners appeared
either in -person or by counsel, no one appearinp- in opposition;
(4) . That evidence was heard, and after hearing such
evidence both oral and documentary, and after considering the
same, upon motion duly made and unanimously _- carried, the
decision of this Zoning Board of Appeals was as follows:
That this board did decide and recommend that the prayer of
the petition be granted, and the property above described
by virtue of appropriate action by you, be made a part of
the district in which Business District uses are permitted
in accordance with the terms and provisions of the Zoning
Ordinance (amended) of the Village of Yorkville.
