City Council Minutes 1955 05-16-55 May 16, 1955 The adjourned regular meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the. Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois was held at the Village Hall of said Village on Monday May1fi, 195 and was called to order by President. Kapelsky at 7:30 o'clock P.M., Finding present on roll call were President Kapelsky, Trustees Hughes, OTsen,Olson,Randles and Schobert and Clerk Merkel. Absent- Trustee Windett. The minutes of the Retiring Board of Trustees Meeting May 22 1955 were read and so ordered approved. A letter of request to Rezone Residenti 1. to Industrial District as per application from the Farmers Elevator Co. was read by the Clerk. Motion by Trustee Olson -Seconded by Trustee Randles that said appl&&4ttfnn for Rezoning be referred to Zoning Board of Appeals for th6ir consideration and report back to the Board of Trustees their recommendations. May 16, 1955 The Wheel Tax Ordinance was read, having laid over from the revious meeting of the President and Board of Trustees for ublic inspection. On motion by Trustee Olsen, seconded by rustee Randles that above Wheel Tax Ordinance be passed and opted. Roll Call- Ayes-Hughes,Olsen,Oleon,Randles and Schobert, Nayes-None j Carried and so ordered. i On motion by Trustee Hughes, seconded by Trustee Randles that ill presented to the Board of Trustee for payment in the amount If $40.00($7,.50 from Water Fund-$32.50 from the General Fund) for hours ditching b* Roger Weiss at $5.00 per hour, be paid. Roll Call- Ayes-Hughes,Olsen.Olson,Randles and Schobert. Nayes-None Carried and so ordered. After considerable discussion on the cost of installing new ater mains, the following resolution was read and adopted. Whereas: The Board of Trustees have detremined that due to in- reased costs and the additional expenses of crossing street in- ersections with new water mains to serve the property owners, mak s n increase in charges neecessary. Now Therefor Be It Resolved: That hereafter it be and it is the olicy of the Village of Yorkville with regard to the extension of ester mains that allfuture extension to the water mains is to be ointly, not necessarily equally, financed by the Village and the djoining property owners where said improvements are to be made:, aid Village and property owners to enter into a written agreement ) hereby the extending is contracted for, and the cost is paid Spr y the Village and the adjoining property owners, said conditions d other terms to be determined by the Village Board. Be It Further Resolved: The Board of Trustees have determined ' hat in the future the cost of water mains installation will be 3.75 per front foot, one third by s*AA Village and one third by ackproperty owners on each side of the street on a front foot asis. This agreement to be in the form of a written agreement. that any Resolution in conflict with this Resolution is hereby epealed. On motion by Trustee Randles, seconded by Trustee Olsen that foregoing resolution be passed and adopted. Roll Call-Ayes-Hughes,Olsen,Olson,Randles and Sohobert. f; Nayes-None Carried and so ordered. An application to erect a cement and cement block dock on north ast corner of the Model Box and Tool Co. was read and on motion y Trustee Hughes that permit to build a one cement and cement block ock, seconded by Trustee Olsen tic be granted. Roll Call-Ayes-Hughes,Olsen,Olson,Randles and Schobert. Nayes-None Carried and so ordered.
