City Council Minutes 1955 04-04-55 April 4, 1955
The regular monthly meeting of the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois
was held at the Village Hall of said Village on Monday April 4,
! 1955 and was called to order by President Kapelsky at 730 o 'clock
P.M.
Finding present onthe Roll Call were President Kapelsky,
Trustees Windett, Hughes, Olsen, Olson, Randles and Acting Clerk
jMerkel.
The minutes of the regular meeting held March 7, 1955 were
a read and so ordered approved.
The regular montly reports of the Clerk and Chief of Police
liere read and so orddred approved.

The following resolution was then read:
i BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED By the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Yotkvi1U - Kendall County, Illinois
as follows:
Section 1. That the Judges and Clerks of the Regular Village

On Motion by Trustee Hughes- Seconded by Trustee Olsen that
11the resolution designating the Judges and Clerks of regular
village election be pasedd and adopted.
Carried and so ordered.
t+ On Motion by Trustee Olsen - Seconded by Windett that Joe
;Eccles make a door to door canvas the entire Village of Yorkville
; selling dog licenses to all dog owners in accordance with the
provisions of the Village Dog Ordinance, and Joe Eccles to be
jpayed 25 cents for each dog license he sells.
Carried and so ordered.
A A Resolution was read designating the following street as an

Upon Motion by Trustee Windett- Seconded by Trustee Olson
that said resolution be passed and adopted as read.

Following resolution was read To deduct Van Emmon Streetfrom
Bridge Street to Main Street as Arterial Street No.l and as
Arterial Stree No 7 and add Arterial Streets No. 8 and No 9.

April 4, 1955
A resolution entitled " Resolution for Maintenance of
Arterial Streets or State Highways by Muntaipality under the Moto
Fuel Tax Law" was read, said resolutiom appropriating the sum of
X7,000.00 of Motor Fuel Tax funds for the maintenance of the
Arterial Streets of the Village of Yorkville. On Motion b

be passed and adopted.

Following Building and Alteration a on Permit were read:

J.I. Hopkins to erect a, one story frame dwelling house.

Upon Motion by Trustee Randles- Seconded by Hughes that above

A Building Permit for erection of a, Lumber or Storage Shed
rom Farmers Elevator Co.
After much discussion it was decided that due to the fact
that the sketch submitted did not mark exact location of planned
building in relation to lot also property on which planned
building is to be erected is in Residential or Industrial
Dist-
It was decided that this Building Permit not be allowed
' or granted until further discussed and a more complete ammended
!Japplioation with a detailed description is submitted.
Due to a request for water for new home on State Street a
discussion was held regarding extension of 4 inch water main
!° aax21attx2traet 800 feet south on State Street. It was decided
that the President of the Board of Trustees and Members of the
Water Committee contact property owners along State Stree to see
if if they would pay their share of cost of new pipe and digging.
Upon motion duly made , seconded andga ;U8 the meeting was
adjourned.
