Finding present on Rohl Ball was President Kapelsky, Trustee 6' I!Windett, Ibighes, WoOlsen and L.Olson Absent - Trustee Randles. Minutes of the Regular Meeting held November 1, 1954 were ;read and so ordered approved. Monthly reports of the Clerk and Chief of Police were read ;hand so ordered approved. Upo ?motion by Trustee W.Olsen - Seconded by Trustee Hughes that permit �be granted. Carried and so ordered. I J A Resolution was raed by the Clerk that due to increased 1truck traffic on Route 47 through'Village of Yorkville, the dGovernor of the State of Illinois, Director of Dept. Public Works ;and Buildings of the State of Illinois be so advised and that (signs 1*#a upon Route 30 directing truck traffic to use Route 47 ?± !be removed and that copies of this Resolution be forwarded to the ,!Governor, Director of the Dept. Public Works and Buildings and local newspapers. I i! Upon motion by Trustee W.Olsen - Seconded by Trustee Hughe lthat said Resolution be passed and adopted. Roll Call - Ayes - Windett, Hughes, W.Olsen and L.Olson i Napes- None Carried and so ordered. `j Section Oheaof Report of Zoning Board of Appeals having ;been considered at the last meeting of the President and Trustees ?of the Village Board and the Amendment being accepted subject to resonable provisions on Sanitary Facilities, Lot and Building ,,Area Restrictions being thereto added. Discussion being had the "following resonable provisions were adopted. Upon motion by Trust le 'IW.Olsen - Seconded by Trustee Windett that said recommendations o ithe Zoning Board of Appeals regarding apartment districts be accepfteu ;land approved subject to thh resonable provisions and the resent P Zoning Ordinance be amended in that respect, P Roll Call- Ayes- Windett, Hughes, W.01sen abd L.Olson (� i Nayes - None Absent Randles ii Carried and so ordered. ( See Copy of Amended Zoning Ordinance) a December 6, 1954 Section Three of the Report of Zoning Board of Appeals having been deferred at the last meeting of the President and oard of Trusteeswas brought up for discussion . After discussion ein�j had it was moved by Trustee Hughes- Senonded by L.Olson the ;;Section Three of the Report of the Zoning Board of Appeals be re- jtained . Provisions in Zoning Ordinance regarding parking sad or storage in open of Busses, Automotive Commercial Vehicles and :;Freight Trucks. The words" or storage" to be deleted, be accepted ,and the Zoning Ordinance amended in that respect. Roll Call- Ayes- Rughes,W.Olsen and L.Olson. ' Nayes- Windett P Absent Randles Carried and so ordered. {; ( See Copy of Amended Zoning Ordinance) Section Five of the Report of the Zoning Board of Appeal hhaving been deferred at the last meeting of the President and Board of Trustees was brought up for discussion. After discussion being had, upon motion by Trustee W.Olsen - Seconded by Trustee ;;Hughes that the report of the Zoning Board off Appeals to further �efine and expand the prohibition of trailer camps and tourist !I ;;cabins were accepted as further defined and expanded and the ;present Zoning Ordinance amended in that respect. 3 Roll Call - Ayes-ITindett, Hugheszp W.Olsen and L.Olson Nayes - none Absent Randles. Carried and so ordered. ( See Copy of Amended Zoning Ordinance) I r There being no further business - the meeting was adjou ED ;upon motion duly made, seconded and carried. --- ------= ------ --------------- ----- ----- Acting Village Clerk President ! is r i f I!I i i� Resolution 7hereas, the Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville have received numerous complaints from the citizens of this Village regarding the tremendous increase in truck traffic occasioned by the State of Illinois directing trucks, by means of huge signs, to use Route 47 instead of Route 30, And ''�hereas, Route 47 runs through the very center of the Village of Yorkville where two steep hills and a bridge within the business district already, withint/he addition of Route 30 traffic, create extreme hazards to human life, And Whereas, the Police Department of the Village of Yorkville has reported an increase of 33o in truck traffic through the Village since the re-directing of Route 30 traffic, and further reports that due to lack of additional policemen and funds with which to hire additional help it is unable to cope with the increased traffic and accompanying accidents and dangers to pedestrians and school children who must by necessity cross Route 47, Now Therefor, Be It Resolved, That, the Governor and Director of the Department of Public iiJorks and Buildings of the State of Illinois be advised of the dangerous condition that has been thrust upon the citizens of this Village by the State of Illinois directing track traffic to use Route 47 ins&aad of Route 30, And Be It Further Resolved, That, the Governor and Director of the Department of Public ["orks and Buildings be asked to remedy this situation immediately by re- moval of the signs upon Route 30 directing traffic to use Route 47, And Be It Further Resolved, That, a copy of the Resolution be forwarded to the Governor and Director of the Department of Public Works and Building and the local newspaper.
