An Ordinance establishing a Police Department in the Village of Yorkville , Kendall County , Illinois was res.d by the Village Clerk Motion by Trustee Windett , seconded by Trustee Hughes that said Ordinance be passed. Roll Call-Ayes-Windett , Hughes, W. Olsen, Randles .('ro�,tow•+�g Nayes - None Carried and so ordered. Franklin Martyn Sr. having been appointed Village Marshall and Chief of Police the oath of Office was administered by the Villa-e Clerk. James E . Price having been appointed Deputy Marshall and " Policeman the oath of Office was administered by the Village Cler. An application for Building Permit from Walter S . Olsen, for the construction of a dwelling house was read. And on Motion by Trustee Windett , seconded by Trustee Randles that permit be granted. Carried and so ordered. �f An ordinance Establishing A Police Department in the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois. Be it &rdained by the President and Board of Trustees of the 'Villagd of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinoist Section-Ones That the Police Department of said Village of Yorkville sha3.1 consist of a Village Marshal and such other Deputy Marshals as the Village President and Board of Trustees, voting jointly, may from time to time appoint. Section Twos That the Village Marshal shall be known as ChAlf of Police, and the Deputy Marshals as Policeimen, and they shall have all powers of conservators of the peace. Section Threes That the Village Marshal and such other Deputy Marshals as may be appointed shall serve until the first Monday of May following appointment and until their successors are appointed or this ordinance is repealed. Section Fours That the Village Marshall shall make a report of all Police Department actsimonthly, and in said report shall be set forth the number of arrests made# disposition of all cases involving arrests and the amounts of fines involved if any. Section Fiv e s That the salaries of said appointees shall be such as may be fixed by appropriate action of the Village Board. Section Sixt That all ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. This ordinsnce shall be in effect from and after its passage and approval. Passes this let. day of November, 1954. F F' 1 i ,E yq by. d 4 44'4P :-1 i y LN TO THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF �'w F YORKVILLE, ILLINOIS: The Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Yorkville, Illinois after duly advertising, held public hearings on the k9 . 4th day of May, 1954 and on July 6, 1954 on the N: following proposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance of Vil- lage of Yorkville,, to-wit: 1. To re-zone to a depth of 300 feet, from residence district to apartment district, the south side of VanEAmon Street from a point 260 feet east of the intersection of the south line of Van Emmon Street with the East line of Bridge Street, easterly along Van Emmon Street to the east city limits. 2. To re-zone to a depth of 146 feet, from residence district to business district the east side of Bridge Street from the north line of Madison Street extended easterly to its intersection with Bridge Street, south- erly along Bride Street to the East and West center line of Block 14 of the Original Town of Yorkville ex. tended easterly to its intersection with Bridge Street a distance of approximately 430 feet. 3. To amend Section 3 Residence district uses to omit sub-paragraph- 4- Parking or storage in the open of busses, automotive commercial vehicles 4nd freight trucks. 4. To amend Section 3- Residence district uses to omit sub-paragraph (5 ) storage of motor vehicles in the front yard or set-back area. 5, To further define and expand the prohibition against trailer camping and tourists cabins as set forth in this Section (3 ). 6. To add to Section 2-Districts, the provision that any sub-division that shall hereafter be created within the Village limits shall be automatically classified as In the Residence district upon the ac ceptance of the Plat by the Village Board and until such time as differently classified by amendment. 7. To re-zone Olsen sub-division and Hughes first sub-, division to Residence district. After due consideration the Zoning Board of Appeals made ,the following recommendations to the President and Board of Trustees of Village of Yorkville regarding the proposed amend- ments. 1. To re-zone to a depth of 300 feet, from residence district to apartment district, the south side of Van Emmon Street from a point 260 feet east of the inter.- section of the south line of Van Emmon Street with the East line of Bridge Street, easterly along Van Emmon Street to the east city limits. On motion of Stading to accept as read seconded by Behrens. Discussion. -2_ On roll call vote, the following voted aye, Arundale, Behrens, Rowen, Stading, Thurow and Webster. Voting nay, Maier. Motion carried 6 to 1. 2. To re-zone to a depth of 146 feet, from residence district to business district the east side of Bridge Street from the north line of Madison Street extended easterly to its intersection with Bridge Street, south- erly along Bridge Street to the East and West center line of Block 14 of the Original Town of Yorkville ex- tended easterly to its intersection with Bridge Street a distance of approxiiately 430 feet. On motion of Madam Rowen to accept as read, seconded by Madam Webster. Discussion. On roll call vote, the following voted aye, Arundale, Behrens, Maier, Rowen, Stading, Thurow and Webster. Voting nay, none. Motion carried 7 to 0. 3. To amend Section 3 Residence district uses to omit sub-paragraphs 4- Parking or storage in the open of busses, automotive commercial vehicles and freight trucks. On motion of Madam Rowen, seconded by Stading the roll was-.called and the vote was nay, Arundale, Behrens, Maier, Stading, Thurow and Webster. Voted aye was Madam Rowen. Motion defeated 6 to 1. 4. To amend Section 3- Residence district uses to omit sub-paragraph (5 ) storage of motor vehicles in the front yard or set-back area. On motion of Madam Rowen to omit sub-paragraph (5 ) seconded by Thurow. On roll call motion the vote was voting aye, Arundale, Behrens, Maier, Rowen, Stading, Thurow, and Webster. Voted nay, none. Motion carried 7 to 0. 5. To further define and expand the prohibition against trailer camping and tourists cabins as set forth in this Section (3). On motion of Arundale, seconded by Stading, to fur- ther expand the prohibition against trailer camping and tourist cabins as set forth in Section 3 of Zoning ordinance of the Village of Yorkville. Discussion, On roll call the following members voted aye, Arundale, Behrens, Maier, Rowen, Stading, Thurow and Webster, None voting nay. Motion carried 7 to 0. 6. To add to Section 2-Districts, the provision that any sub-division that shall hereafter be created within the Village limits shall be automatically classified as in the Residence district upon the ac- ceptance of the Plat by the Village Board and until such time as differently classified by amendment. On motion to accept by Stading, seconded by Behrens. The roll call vote was, aye, Arundale, Behrens, Maier, Rowen, Stading, Thurow and Webster. None voting nay. Vote being 7 aye, no nays. w3w 7. To re-zone Olsen sub-division and Hughes first sub- division to Residence district, No discussion, On roll call, all members voted aye, none voting nay, A rundale, Behrens, Maier, Rowen, Stading, Thurow and Webster voted aye, none voted nay.
