City Council Minutes 1954 04-05-54 Yorkville,Illinois April 5, 1954 The regular montbly meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville,Kendall County ,Illinois �i was bold at the Village Hall of said village on Monday,April 5, x, 1954 and was called to order by President Kalbelsky at 7:30 o'oloo 11 P.M. Finding present on roll call were President Kapels , ! Trustees Price,Windett,Hugbes ,Peblke ,Merkel,Olsea and Clerk AmentI Absent; None. Chairman Price of the Water Committee reported that work j"bad been started on the new well on March 27, 1954. The bad condition of the north art(wood ) of the Houck ; building on the east side of Bridge Street was brought up and "; discussed and it was agreed that President Kapelsky would contact IMr. C.H. Houck and Trustee Price would contact the Fire Marshall ' in regard to having the building torn down. 3 An application for building permit from Homer G. Dickson l" for the construction of a new building on the site of his present ibailding,known as the Carter Building, and for the construction of a new kront on his building ,knemn as the Maier Building,�ri b . plans,was submitted to the Board and on motion by Olsen,second d by Pehlke, that the permit for the above construction be issue Carried and so ordered. ii I! An application for a building permit from Bena1d Cutsinge for a one story dwelling house on Lot 2, Hughes ' Subdivision, IVillage of Yorkville was submitted and discussed and on motion 11 by Olsen,seeonded by iindett, that the permit for the said 'fconstruction be issued. Carried and so ordered. f Yorkville ,Illinois April 5, 1954 An application for a building permit from Max Riemensobneider for the construction of a one story dwelling house with attached j garage on Lot 1, Hugbes 'Subdivision,Village of Yorkville was submitted and. disoussed and on motion by Peblke,seoonded by Price , � that the permit for the said construction be issued. E Carried and so ordered. An application for a building permit from Franklin Martyn Jr. f and Marlene Martyn for the construction of an addition to the North side of their present dwelling house was submitted and Ii discussed and on motion by Price ,seconded by Olsen,tbat the permit for the said construction be issued. ji Carried and so ordered. An application for a building permit from Walter A. Leifheit for the construction of a one story dwelling house and attached garage on parts of Lot 1 and Lot 4, Original Village of Yorkville ! was submitted and discussed and on motion by Olsen,seconded by ! Hughes, that the permit for the said construction be issued. Carried and so ordered. d F An application from Edward Forsell for the establishment of { a shoe repair sh opin his garage was read and on motion by Merkel, ;' seconded by Price , that the said application be referred to the Zoning Board of Appeals . Carried and so ordered i A plat of a subdivision proposed by Frank E. Pennuto was submitted and discussed and on motion by Hughes ,seconded by Olsen, that the plat of the proposed subdivision be tabled. Carried and so ordered. The Ladies Auxiliary V.F.W.No 8234 at Plattville,Illinois presented the Village of Yorkville an American Flag for the Village Hall and on motion by Windett,seconded by Priee ,that the Village Clerk write a letter of thanks for the flag to the said Ladies Auxiliary at Plattville.. ' On motion by Hugbes,seoonded by Olsen,that Chairman Price jfbi empowered to obtain a new tapping machine for the Village. Roll Call Ayes-Price,Windett ,Peblko,Hugbes,Merkel,Olsen Nays- None. Carried and so ordered. Ef An ordinance entitled"AN ORDINANCE COCERNING DOGS" was read and on motion by Windett,seconded' by Merkel, that the said ordinance be held over to the May 3,1954 meeting for enactment.
