City Council Minutes 1953 07-06-53 Yorkville,Illinois Julyl6, 1953 The regular montlily meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville , Kendall County,Illinois was held at the Village Hall of said village on Monday,July 6, 1953 and called to order by President Kapelsky at 7:30 o'clock P.M. E; Finding present on roll call were President Kapelsky, 1! Trustees Prioe,Windett,Peblke ,Merkel ,Olsen and Clerk Ament. Cbairman Windett stated that tbe~offer by the Hinckley & Sobmitt company had been accepted and the the repair of Fox I! Road had been completed and thaftbe moved that the Clerk send a note of thanks to Mr. Peterson for tbeik eontrib ution,tbe motion ; was seconded by Trustee Olsen with atl Trustees present voting aye. the motion was carried. The annual appropriation ordinance was read and discussed al on motion by Trustee Price,seconded by Trustee Peblke, that the ` annual appropriation ordinance be passed and adopted. Roll Call; Ayes ; Price,Windett,Peblke ,Merkel,Olsen Nays : None . Carried and so ordered. (See ordinance rec�ffd) The proposed parking ordinance for the Village of Yorkville ' was taken up and discussed, there being 12 of the local business men present to give their views. The ordinanoe,as finally evolved�i , woald regulate parking on Bridge Street as follows. three boar parking of motor vehiclesfrom 6:00 A.M. to 7:P.M. Bail , prohibit overnigbtparking and fig penalties. I! The Parking Ordinance was read and on motion by Trustee Prio , seconded by Trustee Olsen, that the Parking Ordinance be passed. Carried and so ordered (See ordinance record) Chairman Price of the mater Committee reported in the matteri of the drilling of the test bole at the spring, stating that the possibilities for a well there seemed to be good. 11 I jj Yorkville ,111ino is July 6, 1953 9 On motion by Trustee Windett, seconded by Trustee Brice, that August 3, 1953 be fixed as the date of letting for 16,000 gallons , Bitumipoas Materials,Aspbalt SC-3, farnisbed delivered,heated and applied and 500 tons Torpedo Sand,furnisbed delivered and spread for use on $A Rt. 1,Ext. & AS 1-6 ino.
