Discussion:
1 .) Interceptor Line Update - Interceptor needs to be extended for Rob
Roy area on Fox Hill. City needs to look at the capacity. (Area from
Eldamain to By Pass 30.) City has interceptors north, west, and
south, now they need to go east. The FPA does not have to
match the City boundaries. The FPA goes just a little east of
Lynwood Subdivision. Stafford would like to go to Orchard Road.
Prochaska feels we should speak with the land owners in that area.
Bill Schmanski says he needs to know the area we want to cover.
Schmanski is doing a comprehensive plan for $5000.
2.) Traffic Study - City is requesting the State to do a State funded traffic
study on Walnut Street and Rt. 47.
3.) June Water Report - Water report looked good. Two (2) years ago
the City did a study on local water rates. Mayor Bob Johnson feels
this needs to be updated.
4.) Bid - Visu Sewer, $35,964.00 for Televising North Side Sewer Main -
City budgeted $35,000.00. This will be a Not to Exceed
$35,000.00. Some of the sewers are new and won't need to be
done.
5.) Spraying Weeds in Street/Sweeping/Weed Ordinance - Street
Sweeping is cheaper to hire out on large obs. The street sweeper
was purchased for City parking lots and or parade traffic. The
City should budget street sweeping in three (3) time a year. J.T. said
crews have been spraying for weeds and they are still spraying.
Prochaska would like the City to keep list of people that are
continuously having to be notified about mowing. Prochaska
. t

would like the City to send letter to the land owner and ten (10) days
letter go cut the grass and bill land owner. There are certain people
that are notified on a regular basis. Pati has a new system for this
problem and Nanninga feels that it is working out well.
6.) Bridge Street Interiors - Temporary 30 Day Occupancy Permit - Bridge
Street Interiors has not put in the paving as of yet. J.T. feels Janet
may be having problems getting Aurora Blacktop to commit to a date.
Bill went out today to talk with Janet about getting the pavement
done.
7.) Court House Repairs - Roof needs to be repaired. There are leaks.
City will need to put together specs for bidding. Nanninga says City
will need to budget money out of building fund. Sue Bullock has
been invited to next meeting to give some recommendations on how
to make more money on City property.
8.) Updates
A.) Herron - Sanders Court - City would like to be held harmless.
Herron's would like Lindley to agree with what the City is
proposing. City is proposing to drill hole where trenches
cross and watch the water. Tonight was too quickly to get
Lindley to the meeting. J.T. needs to speak with Lindley. If
Lindley doesn't agree with this, then the City will have to back
away.
B.) New Truck - J.T. said new truck should show up sometime
around the middle part of September. They needed to finish
other trucks first.
C.) Abandoned Trailer at Cozy Corner - Bill Detmer sent out a letter
to restaurant owner stating they have 30 days to have the
abandoned trailer hauled off or to do something with it.
This will need to go to Public Safety meeting. Restaurant owner
doesn't want to be responsible for whatever could be in the
trailer.
D.) Lydia's Motel - Bill Detmer made a visit and found things to be
okay. Owners were very cooperative. Nanninga would like to
ask her permission to hook up a dummy water meter to show
owner of motel how much city water would cost her. Cost has
been a major concern for her. She's not concerned with the
$3000 - $4000 hook up fee but the monthly water bill.
9.) Street Names - Amurol has been give an address of 2800 Rt 47 which
also is some neighboring properties fire number. If there is an
emergency call there has to be two (2) cars dispatched to check out
both locations. Amurol's address can be changed to 2800 Bridge
Street which would correspond with the other Bridge Street
addresses. The City also needs to come up with names to the State
Highways and the new streets in new subdivions. J.T. is looking for
some ideas. J.T. will send ideas to County clearing house. The
county will recommend names not to use.
10.) Scott Miller, 1208 Game Farm Road. - Sewer & Water Hook Up - Mr.
- Page 3-
Miller would like to put in City water and sewer. There is not
contiguous property with the City. There is an empty lot on each side
of Mr. Miller's property. This will have to go to Public Hearing. Once
the property becomes contiguous then it will go into City water and
sewer automatically. Dan will need to write a formal letter. With
letter of intent, Mr. Miller can proceed. Nanninga wanted Mr. Miller
to be notified that there is a slight possibility that it will not pass.
11 .) Other Business
A.) F.E. Wheaton & Inland - Wheaton is wanting to get going. Inland
is asking for a variance. Inland would like the final plat done
without a letter of credit. They will not start working until letter of
credit is in place. Prochaska doesn't like this idea because Inland
has been given all the City rules and regulation as well as all the
City ordinances. Prochaska would like to send letter to Inland
stating this fact. Nanninga and Mayor Bob Johnson are going to
have a follow up meeting with Inland to discuss the procedures.
Dan is agreement with this but he will want a legal binding letter
allowing the seven (7) days. Spang suggest putting the money in
an escrow account until the letter of credit comes through.
Nanninga needs to speak with Dan about this.
B.) Refuse - There two (2) leaf pick-up per year. Spang is wondering
when we issue a no burn policy. Oswego and Montgomery have
gone to a no burn policy. Oswego vacuums their streets. Table
to town meeting.
C.) Town Meeting - Nanninga is negotiating days at the Beecher
Center.
D.) Cracked Curb - Caused by Contractor. J.T. says this is not the
Cities responsibility to fix. You can see where a backhoe came
down it. J.T. will fix the curb this week.
E.) Change lighting standards - Formal Change. Bring to next P.W.
Meeting. Atlas's need to start planning by Sept. 5, 1995
F.) Horton - Next Administration Meeting Sept. 12, 1995
