Public Works Minutes 1995 06-19-95 CITY OF YORKVILLE
PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE MINUTES
MONDAY, JUNE 19, 1995 AT 6:00 PM
CITY CONFERENCE ROOM, 111 W. FOX, SUITE 3, YORKVILLE
1. MFT Funds-Center Parkway-$150,000 Resolution is required and
we need to borrow for the months of Jan. , Feb. , Mar. & April to
make these projects work because of differing fiscal years. There
was a resolution to authorize the construction engineering for this
project.
2 . Storm Water Storage-Ratos & Dhuse, Lots in Countryside Center.
Neighbors do not have storm water, questioned what was originally
platted in 1979 . These lots were never platted. Precedences were
discussed - Walker will be going by new ordinance. It was pointed
out that George Griffin indicated storm sewer will handle 10 year
storm. The conclusion was that these properties will adhere to
Bill Schmanski 's recommendations unless they provide written
engineering documentation to the City Engineer proving that water
storage is not needed. Dan Kramer will be asked immediately to
give an opinion on this matter. A. Ordinance-can we vary, B. What
about car store, C. Legally OK, D. Variance procedure required.
They should ask for a variance supported by an engineering study.
3. Sanders Ct.-Rich Herron, Kathy and Ralph Krull were those
neighbors impacted. The cost would be $20,000 for storm sewer.
First drive hole in manhole, check on bentonite, digging and
monitoring holes. Drill hole in manhole by end of next week, then
