DISCUSSION:
1. Chief Graff reported on a meeting he had regarding the intersection at the Amurol site. A
question was raised regarding the$3,700.00 fee for Pavia and Marting for the specs. Amurol has
agreed to pay this up front with a possible tax rebate. Dan Kramer will be asked to contact
Amurol regarding this matter. Total cost for the intersection will be$180,000.00. The City will
advertise and all bids will go to Harbour.
2. Meatballs-Jodi has been advised that architectural stamp is required on all plans, BOCA will
not accept plans without stamp.
3. A meeting has been scheduled between Ken Baldwin,Paul Dresden,Gary Conover,Tom Grant,
and Ken Kittoe to find out where things standregarding the Diehl property.
4. The final plat for the Diehl property is almost complete.
5. Quotes from Jack Novotney,Pavia and Marting,and Baxter and Woodman for their costs for
current city projects and also what their retainer costs are.
6. Council will receive project updates.
7. The Hatchers came to the meeting to talk about their sewer line that is on Fisher's property.
They were informed that this was not a city problem,but the Hatcher's said they had paid a
hook up fee and it could very well be a city problem. J.T.indicated he will look at the sewer
line on Tuesday,March 29 and will meet with Art Smith from Davis Construction and the
Hatchers.
8. J.T. asked that the alderman call and leave a message with Judy regarding any complaints so
they can be deal with a.s.a.p.
9. J.T.will look at the sink hole on Sanders Courtn and report to the committee.
10. Rich Herron's property was discussed. J.T.will look into the problem
11. Joe Moore will talk to Mike Hitzeman regarding the fire hydrant flags. The committee's
recommendation was to remove the flags on hydrants in populated areas. Fiber glass flags will
be placed on outskirt hydrants.
12. Ice pond equipment will be removed and stored.
13. The Mayor and J.T.will look at Liggett's pond on Tuesday and report their recommendations to
the committee.
14. There will be a public works meeting on 4/4 for updates.
15. J.T.is compiling a list of any concrete work that needs to be done.
16. Grading work and sidewalks will be completed on Somonauk Street.
17. Park maintenance and ball diamond maintenance is done by city workers. A letter needs to be
sent to the homeowners that back up to ball diamond fence informing them the city has
intentions to remove the fence. Scott is prepart a to do list for parks.J.T.will ask about benches
at ball diamonds.
18. The committee will recommend to city council to join the North Central Illinois Council of
Governments to help us obtain grants.
19. J.T. will call chairman of Public Works with additional issues to be place on C.O.W.agenda.
20. There will be a meeting with Aldridge Electric on March 29 regarding the stop light on
Somonauk Street. Two poles will have to be removed at a cost of$1,012.00. Project will
probably be started the week of 4/4.
21. The committee suggested that the Recreation Board discussion be held at public works meeting.
The committee also felt that the Rec Board be encouraged to generate more income by
expanding their programs.
22. John Schneider has prepared a list of all sidewalks that need to be put in.
23. J.T. will review 'TO DO"list and report to committee.
