VAN EMMON BIDS
One bid was received for the Van Emmon project in the amount of $154,529.15 or 9% over
estimate. Concern was expressed about having enough time to finish this project this year.
Don felt that we should at least complete the running of the water line this year behind the
businesses downtown at a cost of $10,000.00 and finish the project next year as the bid will be
good next year.
CANNONBALL TRAIL DEWATERING
A letter was received from Arthur D. Crawford expressing concerns about the dewatering for the
sewer project. Don sent letter to all residents in the area explaining the plans for construction
and contingency plans if a problem(s) arise.
SEWER EXTENSIONS
Don has worked with Dan Kramer and Delene Drew to get preliminary figures for recapture on
the south water and sewer extension. Don will work on the North extension this week.
Both recapture agreements need to be approved by the council.

Don will place "Not open to thru traffic" signs on the street. Don will also repair the gravel
along the sides of the road.

At the November 8, 1993 meeting, the committee will begin looking into the proposal for a
traffic study throughout the city.
COM ED POLE
Art Prochaska asked about the com ed pole on Somonauk Street and asked if it could be moved to
Park Street. Don felt this could be done.
TRAFFIC SIGNALS
Don will check with IDOT to see if they have approved the plans and will call Mayor Kittoe.
