ATTACHMENT FOR MINUTES OF STREETS AND ALLEYS MEETING FROM NOV. 69 1986
Mr. Don Eageny and Mr. Frank Holt, from Donohue and Associates, gave
those present a presentation on Pavement Management. Included in their
presentation were the different methods that are used to determine the
present condition of our roadways as well as their opinion of our rate
of street failure. They said that as part of the package we would get
a report for a five year program. The project would take three weeks
from start to finish. There would be one meeting, about half way through
to evaluate how much testing was to be done. Some of the costs involved
were as follows;
1) Pavement Condition Evaluation 3,500.00
2) Ground Penetrating Radar 3,000.00
3) Visual Inspection of all streets in town $ 150.00 per mile
TOTAL COST, INCLUDING REPORTS $159,500.00
A motion to refer this back to the Streets and Alleys Committee
was made by Alderman Jennings.
The second was made by Alderman Radke.
