Staff-Sue S J.T.Johnson,Tom Sowiriyki. Lisa Scherer,Dave Cathey, Chris Rollns within, n, Absent-John Bradstreet. GUESTS AND/OR CITY OFFICIALS: s ; Barry Groesch -Barry G. brought the information that the Board asked for from Kiwanis regarding the pop machines. Pepsi will maintain and stock-they will give Kiwanis 5%of sales,which Kiwanis will give to Park Dept. The machines will have Kiwanis logo on them-Barry is to look into sidewalk costs by the north side of Beecher,and electrical costs. Dave C.motioned to accept the placement of machines, one at Riverfront and one at Beecher providing that the costs to prepare areas are covered by Kiwanis. Barry will bring back fluither information. Chris Rollins seconded-notion passed. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Chris motioned to approve the minutes. Lisa seconded-Motion passed. REVIEW OF BILLS: Lisa motioned to accept the bills,with the addition of invoice#20110 and#20306. Ground Effects $200 for Riverfront Park; $200 for Price Park (mulch). Dave Cathey seconded; Chris-yes,Lisa- yes,Dave C.-yes. Motion passed. J.T.had a menu attached to the checks from previous bill list-The Park Board wants J.T. to sign any P.O. regarding work and equipment rentaL BOARD ACTION: Tree City Ordinance- Sue mentioned that Scott would review the city landscape ordinance and revise the Tree City Ordinance to agree where needed. The Board agreed to table item to the next meeting,members are to review, make changes and discuss at next meeting. DIRECTOR'S REPORT: See attached. PARKS REPORT: J.T. said he needed a plan of Beecher before he can attach costs to it. J.T.also briefly explained the trail grant that Jim has been asked to apply for,more info. later. The Board also needs to link the trail at Beecher with other parks. PLANNING CON MISSION REPORT: No report CITY LIAISON'S REPORT: No report s RIVERFRONT FOUNDATION UPDATE: No report OLD BUSINESS: Discussion took place about a greater b&e/ped. Trail system, etc. standards need to be esuiblished, and policies written. Dave Cathey said he would share with Sue attending Plan Commission raMings to continue the recommendation process from the Board. FOX FIELD II: J.T. showed both plats, Fox Field H and Heartland. The Board wants to connect the two and continue the bike/ped.trail - south from Heartland,and north with an easement from Fox Field II. Sue and J.T.will discuss with Barry Niles. I used Don Osbron, local o. In Yorkville. T went v well,no problems. 1� �Y �'Y r a I had an ng with Waste Managanent regarding bitting,everything is straightepard-out for next Yew. • 1 met with Use regardng Safety Town;we discuss whet each others plans were for the project. a The dugouts on the softball field are finished;I worked on the conatructlon with mat ly 0aw volunteers. Scott and Brett installed the benches and did the cm -cm Pte wo& Don Cool was the'Dad' who volunteered to design and cmutnx:t the dugouts,he had medical problems during oonstruction and passed away, not able to complete the project. With the Board's approval,there will be a dedication next Spring in his horror and memory. ■ We had our 1*HALLOWEEN EGG HUM'In Town Square and It was very su0 esOul. All of the 2,000 eggs were found,some bmkm,and many ideas of what to do nod year. 2 1 attend the meeting at YMS about Character Cots; I will get involved from the Reermdon eta i point. • Men's basketball has started as well as girl's traveling basketball program. This keeps me Ikey at right and on Saturdays. a There was a perk dedication for Price Park on Saturday,Nov.8 that I attended. Dave Cathay was there as well as the Mayor,the park looks great,as does the sign. ■ The winter brochure Is flryshed and waiting for it to cane back from printer.
