PARK BOARD MINUTES

CALL'TO ORDER:
The meeting was called to order at 7:10 p:m.
ROLL CALL:
John Bradstreet, Kathy Curtis, David Cathey, Lisa Sherer, Chris Rollins (absent) Staff -J.T. Johnson
(Parks), City Liason-Tom B.
GUESTS AND/OR CITY OFFICALS:
Officer Barry Groesch,Johanna Bryam and Joyce Barrett,Fox Hill residents
REVIEW OF 13ILLS:
VENDING MACHINES:
Officer harry Groesch, representing the Kiwana's, would like to set up Paladin vending machines (the
Kiwana's/Pepsi Program) at the Riverfront Park and at Beecher Center. The machines will have the
Kwana's name on each of the machines. All proceeds will go the park development. Vending
machines can either contain water, tea, pop, or juice. Annual profit can range from $100 to $500 a
_.year, The board agreed to look at the survey that is being completed by Paladin, to see if the
iverfrorit Park and Beecher Park would be considered to handle the vending machines.
FOX HILL:
Two residents of the Fox Hill subdivision asked about the status of the park that is to be constructed
at the Fox Hill subdivision. J.T. stated that they are in the process of reviewing park plans.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
BOARD-ACTIONS:
1. Check #1113 was voided back to Cameron at the City Office,John B. motioned to approve, Kathy
C. seconded the motion.
2. Bids came back on the grass mower for park maintenance. The Jacobsen T528 two wheel drive
mower was selected by the Parks Department. John B. thought it would be a good idea to look at
other mowers like John Deere. Mower repairs were frequent with the past mowers. Prices for the
Jacobsen T528 mower are: $14,841 from Orland Park and $19,833 from the Illinois Lawn
Equipment, Inc. John B. motioned, Kathy C. seconded.
3. There was some discussion on cleaning up the berm located at the end of Walnut Street.
NEW BUSINESS:
There was a brief discussion of the Art Show.
John 13. motioned to adjourn the meeting at 8:11 p.m.
