Park Board Minutes 1994 06-08-94 PARK BOARD MEETING
JUNE 8, 1994
Meeting called to order by Steve Bridge.
Board Members present: Steve Bridge, Cindy Davidson, Dave Dockstader,
Dave Schmelzle. From city: Scott Sleezer, and Art Prochaska. From
Rec. Dept. Ann Scholl and Becky Johnson.
Scott is still working on getting picnic tables for the various
parks.
J.T. wants to pull out all bushes at the four corners of the Beecher
Building to replant something new to replace them by July 4th.
Steve will let him know next week. Dave S. will take the bushes.
Gazebo needs paint and flowers. Steve will let him know. Trees
around the Beecher need to be watered. Tell Puke.
Scott will plant flowers around the Beecher Building.
Scott Will plant flowers around Colonial Parkway Park and a sign
is going to be made for there.
Around the Dam area the playground equipment was checked and seem
to be okay discussion on painting it. Also some trees to be trimmed
so that the sign shows. Want to get the Dam area cleaned up for
Hometown Days.
Trees also was to be trimmed around Ball field at VanEmmon and
City Square.
Art said Burt Callmer suggestd that the City Council members paint
the Gazebo, No def. inet commitment thou.
A motion was made that they, the Hayton Family may install a marker
near the tree planted in Joes name in the City Park. ?lotion was
carried all in favor.
There will be a information sign made for the Gazebo.
Ann was to find out if we can use landcash funds to hire a landscape
architect from Dan Kramer.
A joint meeting with the public works was suggested to discuss
common interests and goals, at 7: 00 p.m. on July 18th.
Our regular meeting with Park Board July 20th, Ann to publish it.
Lengthy discussion about new location for City offices.
Park Board received a $300. 00 check from Kiwanas Club for playground
equipment only. NOT FOR TENNIS COURT LIGHTS. at Prairie Park.
Ann was certified in CPR last month.
Punt , Kick and Pass was discussed whether we should do it. There
is a $45 participation fee. Not very many kids last year signed up
but it wasnt pushed very much.
motion made to participate in Punt, Pass and Kick. Seconed by all.

A motion was made to pay Scott Lindeman the Golf. Instructor for
36 students $1188 . 00 now; and then another check for the last 3
classes not to exceed $1188 .00. It was Seconded and approved.
A motion was made to pay bills as presented by Ann, Seconded and
approved.
A motion was made to pay last years rent Check # 1310 for $5,000.00.
Seconded. Steve Yes, Dave S. Yes, Dave D. yes, Cindy No. Motion
carried.
Dave S. would really get the picnic tables now.
A motion was made to accept the may meeting minutes, Seconded and
approved .
A motion was made to adjourn, Seconded and approved.
