COW Minutes 1996 02-01-96 FEB-12-1996 08:07 YORKVILLE NATIONAL BANK P.02 r City of Yorkville Committee of the Whole February 1, 1996 Meeting Present : Art Prochaska, Bob Johnson, Jeff Baker, Jeff Spang, Jerry Lynch, Jim Stafford, Kathy Jones, Tom Sowinski, Richard Scheffrahm, Tony Graff, Jim Naninga, Dan Kramer, J.T. Johnson, Brian Effingham; Kathy Farren, Scott Sleezer, Eric Dhuse, Cindy Ketcham. Jim Ward Fence-The city removed a tree on the property of Jim Ward that was used for privacy by Mr. Ward. The city has contacted Mr. Ward to see that there will be a placement of fence so that Mr. Ward may retain privacy. J.T. has received an estimate on what the materials for the fence will cost . The city has agreed to cover the cost of the fence and Mr. Ward will be providing the labor. Parkview School-There was much discussion on the possible sale of the property of Parkview School . The current owners of the property do not wish to have Spring Street extended through the property. There is much talk between the current owners and prospective buyers . The city is also interested in the possible sale of the property and the eventual bettering of the property. Earthmovers-There has been a resolution drawn up so that employees from the city of Yorkville may participate a Aurora' s Earthmovers Credit Union. There will be a vote on the resolution on January 8 at the council meeting. November and December police Report will be presented January 8 council vote. Bristol incorporation-There was discussion about the proposal of incorporating Bristol "proper" . A suggestion was made that someone speak with the owners of Blackberry Oaks and the homeowners of Bristol to see if they would be opposed. There was a discussion about the possibility of having a City of Yorkville flag. In the city park, there is a State and a US flag, but no city. The next Public Works meeting will be held Monday February 5 at 7 : 00 . A correction for the Jan 4 and Jan 18 committee of the Whole minutes: Tom Sowinski was not listed as members present. The Committee of the whole meeting was adjourned and a motion from Jeff Spang was made to proceed to Executive Session for: Personnel- Employee hiring, firing, compensation, discipline, and performance.
