. DISCUSSION ( IDENTIFY BY NUMBER) Molly Batterson, Shawn Hagemeyer
1.) Greg Kraber, owner of W's Tap, discussed the schedule of events for Yorkville Hometown
dnys which will be Sept 26 and 27. Mr. Kraber asked Council if there are funds available
to advertise and promote the event. It was decided that the City will donate up to $500.00
(as needed) for promotion of the event.
2.) Ted Sanchez, owner of the warehouse at 101 S. Bridge St. in Yorkville, asked if there would
be any problems with the zoning of this building which would prevent usage as a building
materials outfit. Jim Shannon is interested in purchasing the building for this purpose.

3 L Rill Rnird gave each member ]resent a copy of the revised Personnel Policies Manual.
Council skimmed the manual and Alderman Baird explained which changes were made and the
reasons for these charges. Other corrections were suggested by Council members. There was
much discussion concerning allowance of sick days for city employees. There will be
revisions concerning this matter. Council members will go over the manual in more detail a
further discussion will occur at a meeting,inihe near future. The goal is to accept and
adopt the manual by the end of September.
4.) Don Peck suggested that a replacement building is needed for Wellhouse A. He has one bid
for about $2,000.00 and will gather at least two more estimates.
5.) Don Peck reported the estimates he has received for installment of a pipe for crossing unde
the river. A 12" pipe is $205,141 and a 16" pipe is about $250,000. Don Peck will analyze
the situation further and more discussion will be held at future meetings.
6.) Lloyd Yepsen, who had originally asked for 2 months to install sidewalks and pave the park-
ing lot, now believes he is not responsible for the installation of these sidewalks.
NOW However, Council confirms that Mr: Yepsen must arrange for these responsibilities to be met
and cannot simply write a check to the City to cover the costs.
7_.) Mr. Bell of Washington St. , would like to fill in the creek on his property in order to

8.) Alderman Bob Fey initiated discussion regarding the allowance of placement of the mobile
signs that are scattered throughout town. Mr. Fey suggested that the City Council

Don Peck will speak with Mr. Kramer regardint his matter. Mr. Peck will aslo inform the
owners of the sign. that "flashes" at Rt. 126 and Rt. 47 that the sign is, nn in accnrdanCe
with the Ordinance.
9.) There was discussion regarding installation of pedestrian crossing signal at Rt �4 and
Center Parkway. No sidewalk city liable?

Countryside. Attorney Kramer has asked that the City issue the building permit that has beer
requested, rather than refuse the request. _
11.)Cliff Jahp asked if the state is going to install gravel along the south end of Rt.47 where

12.)Don Peck passed out a Detention Agreement written for the City and Wildwood Subdivision.
Don Peck will discuss this agreement on rant with Attnrn�r Kramer, ac the fnitnril hac many
questiofns regarding the contract. He hopes to have it revised so it can be voted on next
week.
13.)The placement of necessary stop signs throughtout the City will be discussed on Sept-17 at
the Committee meeting.
14.)Jr. Horton replaced a sewer line on his prop erty and has asked the City for parti ipation 1

16 )Brian Debolt supervisor of public ground will he contacting Don Peck in regard to traffic
problems at Circle Center Middle School. `
17.)Chief Graff has asked for permission from the City to hire another part time police officer.

18.)Corrmlonwealth Edison is going to redo the transformer station near the police station. They
are going to meet with Mr. Peck and Mayor Kittoe next week,_
19.0s of Sept. 10, the City will be responsible for the care of the Garin Farm property. Don
Peck offered some suggeetions for use of this property.
20.)Tuesday, _Sept._ 15 at 1:00 p.m, Paul Marron will be giving a presentation in Plano regarding
installation of computer systems. Yorkville Council members are invited to attend.
21.)Don Peck reported that the baseball fields behind the Beecher Center are beinginstalled and

24.) Bob Fey asked to have the backstop rail at +>^o ITanEmon baseball field d fixed as it may
pose a danger to the public
25.) Mayor Kittoe has been contacted by dix six people who would like to fill the open Ward 4
Alderman position Mavor Kittoe will have one suVgestions for ax)pointment next week.
26 ) Alderman Limon from Plano came to the meeting to ask about the dispersal of the Plano
Comprehensive Plan manual which was passed out at a Yorkville Council meeting. His
concern was that the manual was a draft copy and was not meant for dispersal, even though
it was available to the public for review It was decided that, in the future. the City
will try to better accomodate and respect the wishes of neighhoring municipalities_
