I -) Jack Mamuson discussed the insurance premium quotation received from Bliss and Penco.
He explained the advantage of Penco's occurance coverage vs Bliss's claims made coverage.
He also stated the importance of narchasing tail coverage if a change in companies is
made. Mr. Mari uson will check on miscellaneous coverage such as boilers and wells and
contact Dan Kramer with any new information Mr. Kramer will then report to Council next
week.
2.) Monday. April 20 there is a Finance Committee Meeting. It is requested that all Council
members be present. The meeting begins at 7.90 p.m.

_4_) Dan received a letter from Dave Sanderson asking for the following when his building
(Wholesale Tire and Danelli's) is annexed. He asked for the following: a "take-out"
liquor license for Danelli's (makes available sale of a bottle of wine or 6-pack of beer
with a take-out order) , a waive of the hook-up fees if he were to purchase the property
presently owned by Fair Realty and extend his building, and a waive of the water hook-up
fee of approximately $61,000. Council will consider these requests and discuss further
next week.
.) Chief Graff asked Committee for review of the discussion regarding Ron Dieterick's back-
pay from when he was a patrol officer rather than being assigned as Sergeant. Committee
agrees that in past meetings they have refused payment for this. Chief Graff will relay

6 ) Chief Graff passed out a breakdown of the Caterpillar special strike detail costs for the
City of Yorkville. The total is 34 hours for a cost of $669.40.
7.) Chief Graff passed out a copy of an article regarding solicitation that is presently in
use in Naperville. This is an example of the type of ordinance he would like in YorkvillE
8 ) Chief Graff introduced the possibility of the City adjudicating traffic violations
regarding the standing or parkin of vehicles.
9.) Chief Graff pointed out that the City Council can vote to install traffic signs (such
as stop signs) .
10.) "Just Say No" funfair is May 8 from 4-6 p.m. at Parkview.
11.) No tourism tax has been received from the owners of Lydia's Motel. Dan Kramer will
explain to them the necessity in paying this tax.
12.) Don Peck passed out the Maintenance Helper job description. The stress would be on
maintenance of parks. Bill Baird suggested "hiring out" to a contractor to provide these
services. A poll was taken and all members weed with Don that this is necessary except
for Bill Baird. This will be discussed again at next Committee Meeting.
13.) Don received a bid for a Swanson Spreader V--box. The estimate is $14,984 for 2 spreaders,
A vote will be taken at the next Council meeting.
14.) Don discussed with Comittee the need to purchase a sewer jetter. He passed out a list
of proposed costs. The one Don receommends is $20,986.
15.) Don asked Corrmli.ttee permission to organize the storage room next week.
16.) Don showed Corrmlittee a picture of the disc harrow he would like the City to purchase.
