DISCUSSION ( IDENTIFY BY NUMBER) 1 ) Mike Skinner asked Council to consider using Parkvi w as a city building_ Mngn: Kittoe scheduled the Feb. 20 Committee meeting to be held at Par-lQ ew. The meeting will be open to the public and the media. The purpose of the meeting will be to assess the pros and cons of the building and to answer questions that may exist. 2.) Don Schwegel of Baxter and Woodman gave a presentation regarding the company's proposal for the sewer syphon.at the Fox River. Mayor Kittoe asked Committee for permiss on to allow the co=anv to begin planner for the procedure_ 3.) He said that they are related to food service health rules and probably will not affect the proposed "Bed and Breakfast" in Yorkville. 5.) Don Peck suggested that the city reimbuse Ken Johnson $500.00 toward a $2,500.00 sewer extension he paid for. The Council will vote on the bill at the next Council meeting. 6.) There will be an Annexation Committee scheduled in regard to the Don Hammond property. Annexation of the bowling alley will also be discussed. 7.) Don Peck needs the names of-the applicants'-for Chief of Police to .inform them at a Chief has-been hired. 8.) Void 9.) Crown Trig, the company responsible for reconstruction of Rt. 47 from Rt. 126 to approximately seven miles south, has gone bankrupt and is no longer in business. RECOMMENDATIONS ( IDENTIFY BY SAME NUMBER AS ABOVE) _2s Roll Vote resulted in unanimous agreement to authorize Baxter and Woodman to begin the estimate and plans for this procedure. Ralph Pfister brought to the attention of Mr. Peck that there is a "No Parkin 'g! sign on King St, that is bent down. Mr. Peck said he will attend to it soon. 11,) Bill Baird is checking to see if there is grant monty available from the nation for restoration of Parkview in lieu of the fact that it is a historical building. 12,) Chief Graff handed out a informational packet on the BASSET (Beverage Alcohol Seder and Servers Education and Trninine) =rnoram Kittoe stated that he will attend the proEram. 13.) Chief Graff handed out a packet showing a proposed schedule for officer rotation shifts. He will inform Council of the success of this proposal in approximately four weeks. 14.) Chief Graff showed Committee a proposed notice that will be handed out to citizens who leave their garage doors open overnight. The urnose is to inform the citizens of the da.nF-ers (such as theft) of leaving the door of the garage open. 15.) Chief Graff passed out a "Staff Assignment and Duties',f handout to inform Committee of the specific assipmments given to the Lieutenant and Sergeants, 16.) Chief Graff will attend a meeting of the Aurora Bicycle Club to discuss the 1992 Silver Spring Sixty that is anticipated to begin at the Beecher Center and end at the Beecher Center. �7 1 chief Grnff passed out a recoEnition agreement regarding the recognition of the Yorkville Professional Police Assocation as an exclusive bargaining agent. It included an appendix which limites the benefits to employees below the rank of lieutenant, 18.) Delene Drew reminded everyone that Pandolfi will be here to give a presentation next week during the Committee meeting. 19.) American Red Cross asked that the City fly a Red Cross Flat on the pole with the American Flag. As it seems there is no cost involved the Flag will be ordered. It will be flown the month of March, National Red Cross Month. 20. ) The Annual Conference of the Illinois Municipal Leage will be October 8-11, 1992 Mayor Kittoe asked who would be interest in attending. All members showed interest except for Beb Fey (who is not sure) and Denny Fahrlander. 21.) A complaint has been sent in regarding the portable signs on Rt. 47 at the Shopper. It is will understood that this situation cannot be changed because the use of e signs are "grand-fathered) in to City Ordinances.
