DISCUSSION ( IDENTIFY BY NUMBER) 1 . ) Jo Pearson, from Illinois Municipal League Risk Management Assoc. , gave a presentation on the Risk Management Association Program. The cost quoted for Yorkville to join the League is $73 , 107 plus a $2 ,000 deductible for a total of $75 , 107 . Insurance quotes from other companies are being gathered . An aareement must be made by Jan. 26 , 1992 with IMLRMA if this company is chosen, or coverage cannot begin until 5/1/92 . 2 . ) Annexation of the bowling alley is looking positive; negotiations continue with t.ha owners of t.hP howling alley_ 3 . ) An agreement will be made with the owners of the property that the city hall =arhially covers _ Tn the future , if any rebuilding or additions nrrnri the building will he mnved off of the property. 4. ) It has been discovered that one of the city ' s wellhouses also partially covers an area of a landowner ' s property. However, the landowner has nnt, eXnreRRed an3A CeriouG concern over this matter . 5 . ) Codifiration of the city ordinances is complete, and now the changes must be accepted by Council . _6 . ) Grea Sibenaller reported that the Yorkville Professional Policeman ' s Assocation petitioned to be recognized as a bargaining unit . 7. ) Dan Kramer reported that the Schultz suit has been settled. A bill will will be issued to the city soon. 8 . ) Discussion was held concerning Ron Diedierich ' s position as sergeant on the police force. Dan Kramer explained that placing Mr. Diedierich in any lower position would be considered a demotion without just cause and -ideuld be illegal . 9 . ) The maiority of the Council agreed that no reimbursement should be given to n„r, ili cnrli ari r•h fnr tha ppri nd before his appointment to sergeant.
