-_) Larry Simmons of the Neptune ' s Castle of Pets , came to ask for a
variance in order to install a sign that would extend out from the
huilrlintt_ Mayor Kittoe will get back to him after investigating the
imssi ili v that Larry may need to meet with the Zoning Board first .
2 ) Alderman Baird handed out an example of the type p YA of agenda he would
like to Ree used at future Council meetings This format will be

_4) A meeting was held Tuesday between the Chamber of Commerce and the City .
RECOMMENDATIONS ( IDENTIFY BY SAME NUMBER AS ABOVE)
5 ) Mr. Fahrlander brought up the problem with portable signs not only
at the Shopper but also at other locations . The Zoning Committee
will look into this and consult Mr . Kramer before discussion
continues .
6 ) Bill Baird asked what he could do about a complaint that construction
crews are starting too early in the morning. It was decided that
no action could be taken.
7) Bill Baird introduced the idea of having a "cruise night" car
show at Countryside Center next spring. There was general
approval of this idea , so it will be pursued .
8 ) As a result of the re-bidding of Spring St . , $7 ,000 .00 was taken
off of the original bid . Don Peck will locate the utilities and
relay the locations to Aurora Blacktop so that construction could
beging as early as next week.
9) Billing for the Chamber of Commerce book was broken down to
determine which City Boards would cover the expenses and what
amount each Board will pay.
10) The contractors who need to install sidewalks at their lots in
Countryside have been contacted .
1-1 ) The final bid for the tennis courts at the Lion ' s Club is $3 , 277 .00
from Aurora Blacktop. Construction is underway.
12) Hiring a part-time employee for the city office will be put off
until after the audit is completed, due to a lack of time to
train a new employee .
13) Mr . Kramer will be consulted to determine whether or not a "warrant"
is needed to install stop signs .
14) Ceil Sanders asked to be reimbursed for the other half of the
$116 .00 cost for the trip to Springfield to accept the Governor ' s
Hometown Award . This will be voted on at Council next week.
15) A letter will be sent to Pastor Bob Parikh to inform him that be
will not be allowed to store items at the Beecher Center.
