DISCUSSION ( IDENTIFY BY NUMBER) (WSPY) 1) Rick Marciniak inquired about getting cable put in at the motel on Route 71, and brought up the prob em Witt) thefts at a A j.Stall and r Barna proposed some so t- utions or e thefts. 2) The Youngs came to discuss the water problem at their house. mayor nttoe said L111a't they would have an engineer look at it and he would contact e Youngs r=t WUM. 3) Mr. Jahp tried to contact Bill Baird regarding the Casey s GeneraT More, but uuutd not get in touch with him. 4) There are two bids for repairing the area near the Young's were discussed, and it was decided U7al er discussion wi meeting with the County. 5) Mr. Kramer said that after discussion withthe state s Attorney, tt Was facurt dot lere is no problem with Jack Jones position on the ounce . 6) Mr. Kramer also brought up the tax Ievy and sae for a public meeting regarding this next month. 7) Mr. Kramer talked to Mr. Spitz and one otner 17M owner rm= Plcur±, sounded favorable toward annexation into or i , . 87 Mr. Kramer recommended a motion to begin Executive Session to d;GC-i,sC i;+ gat;nn 91 A4 baek 455 �+-;toe •r,., 10) Regarding the position of Chief of Police ads will be placed in the Municipal League Review, and possibly in other police oriented magazines 11) Portable signs were �d�isdcusseddg- tthe ordinance regarding these signs will be brought RECOONA4E1 council ONES I DEM lu F h BY SqM(NUMBER AS ABOVE) 8) Motion by Baird, 2nd By Jahp to hold Executive Session at 8.20 p.m. Roll Call Vote: AYE VO'L'E - Jones, Clark, Baird, Fey, & Jahp; NAY VO'L'E - None - ABSENT Fahrlander. 9) Motion by Fey, 2nd by Jahp to return to regular session at 9.20 p.m. 12) Pat Clark suggested allowing Mr. Barna to speak at an upcoming Council meeti.nT regarding the past, present and future of different areas of the police department. 13) Possibilities regarding the position of City Administrator were discussed. Clark re- commended that Joe Moore be interviewed along with the other two finalists. Interviewing will occur Tuesday, July 23, 1991 at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall. 14) There was a concern regarding barricades around a new sidewalk at the SW corner of Heustis & Fox. Mayor Kittoe will look into it. 15) Mr. Fey asked fours requests of Mr:: Barna, each of which were answered and solved, except for the request that Council should approve all riders in the squad cars. Mr. Barna believes that this has been previously documented as unnecessary. 16) On Monday, a 4in. Water valve will be installed at corner of Van E�Trtnon & Main at an approximate cost of $3,300. 17) Mayor Kittoe suggested keeping Luanne as Deputy Clerk for about 3 weeks to help train the new clerk. It was decided that council action on this is unnecessary due to prior action. PN(,c-e 18) The possibility of buying a gq9jer for the Mayor was discussed.
