DISCUSSION ( IDENTIFY BY NUMBER) Shirley Benson, Jon Thom 1) Boards saluting local service men '& women - Mayor asks council approval to put up boards list' PQQ;P3_ by donations.MoRt 2) DARE program for next year was discusse Mrs. Benson & Mr. Boring spoke in support of the program. Decision will be made after specifics are looked into. 3) Employee Insurance policy - discussion on cost and deductible. The present $500 deductable was decided to be the best choice. 4) Lions Club Contract - going to Park Board for approvel, then back to council. 5) Audit - firms interested in bidding for a 3-year contract will be contacted. Mr. Huston will get bids and a meeting w these firms will be arranged. 6) Fire-proof cabinet - funds available under "office supplies" - decision will be made after Lou discusses necessity for the cabinet at the next councii meeting. 7) Sewer rerouting at Bryce Miller property - will city pay for this incident? A motion to pay for this incident was made. 8) The purchase of flow meters was discussed. _9) There is an on-going inventory to count tools. 10) State vs. municipalities - concern over 5% tax levy and surcharge. 11) Discussion to decide_ if the library budget shouic1 hP nmanrjarl due to $IQQQ from rubber duck race. 5 °�} 12) Discussion concerning a grant to install a lift for handicapped access to the loft at the library - $2500 city funds would be necessary. Decision will be made after Mr. Kramer discusses the legal necessity for the lift. RECOMMENDATIONS ( IDENTIFY BY SAME NUMBER AS ABOVE) l) Motion Pfister, 2nd Jahp - Unanimous approval to install the boards. 7) Motion Pfister, 2nd Fey - Unanimous approval for city to cover payment. 8) Motio n Pfister, 2nd Clark - Unanimous approval toward purchase of meters.
