E. Walters Larry Langeland Vernon Florence Fred Dollman Meeting of January 27, 1972 The meeting was called to order t 7:50 PM. Members present; Leo Anderson, Bob Mahoney, Walter Olsen, Flo,�r .e, Wm. Ford, Fred Dollman�G�orae Walters. Members aa�&t; Fred Schne;der, Larry Langelan . The minutes of the regular meeting of December 15, 1971 were read and approved. Chairman Leo Anderson officially welcomed Fred Dollman as a member of the Commission. A motion was made by Walter Olsen, seconded by George Walters, that Gloria Wakefield be appointed a non-voting member, and secretary of the Plan Commission. Motion carried. The petition of Walter S. Olsen and Blanche E. Olsen to reclassify approximately 10 acres between Route 47 and Route 126 from the present agricultural use to multiple residential or apartment use was read by Chairman Anderson. A proposed plan for development of the land was presented by Loren Miller, attorney Fred Dickson and a representative from the architectural firm of Kleb, Shelf & Assoc. The proposal for 84 apartment units on 21 lots, averaging 8.2 units per acre was thoroughly considered. A motion was made by George Walters, seconded by Vernon Florence .that the Commission recommend to the Zoning Board of Appeals and the City Council that the petition be approved. On a roll call vote, all members voted "aye" , with Walter Olsen abstaining. The Commission recommended that the road through the development be designed so as to dis- courage its use as a short-cut between the two highways. A motion was made by Walter Olsen, seconded by Vernon Florence, that since each member of the Commission will receive a copy of the minutes of each meeting, prior to the following meeting, the reading of the minutes could be dispensed with, but a call for a8y additions or corrections would be made as usual. Motion carried. Charles Kincaid of Wm. Lawrence & Assoc. will discuss the proposed Planning and Zoning Ordinance and Transportation at the meeting of February 24. On motion made by Walter Olsen, seconded by Wm. Ford, the meeting was adjourned at 9:15, to meet next on Thursday, Feb. 24 at 7:04 PM. Secretary: �J ,
