Meeting of March 23, 1972
The meeting was called to order at 7 :25 by Bob Mahoney in the absence
of Chairman Leo Anderson. Members present: Bob Mahoney, Larry Lange-
land, Wm. Ford, Vernon Florence, Fred Schneider, George Walters, Fred
Dollman; Members absent: Leo Anderson, Walt Olsen.
The minutes of the regular meeting of February 24 and the special
meeting of February 26 were approved.
The petition of Mabel Rowlands to subdivide and rezone 3.8 acres in the
City of Yorkville from single-family to two-family was presented. The
proposed subdivision is for 13 , 2-family, 2-bedroom dwellings with
approved surface access road with curb and gutters. The safety factor
of entrance and outlet to Route 47 was discussed and it was noted that
the developer would be compelled to comply with the state' s specifications
in this respect. On motion by Larry Langeland, second by Fred Dollman,
a roll call vote was taken: B. Mahoney, L. Langeland, F. Schneider, F.
Dollman voting "aye" ; Wm. Ford abstaining. Motion carried, petition
approved.
A motion was made by L. Langeland second by F. Schneider to change the
regular meeting night to the fourth Tuesday of each month beginning in
April, in order to coordinate more closely with the City Council, the
Board of Appeals and the Kendall Co. P&Z Commission, and to shorten the
waiting time for the answer to a petition. On roll call vote, motion
was unanimously carried.
On motion by F. Schnejobr, second by L. Langeland, the Commission voted
unanimously to require that petitions be presented by the first working
day of each month in order to be put on the agenda.
The petition of Nellie Brandt to subdivide a parcel in Bristol Twp.
fronting Bristol Rd. and southwest of the junction of R. 47 and Bristol
Rd. was considered. On motion by F. Schneider, second by F. Dollman,
on roll call vote the commission voted unanimously "no objection" to
subdivide, providing it is zoned for R-3.
Charles Kincaid presented the proposed Transportation Plan for the City
and the section of the proposed new Planning and Zoning Ordinance
covering administration was discussed.
A special meeting with the City Council will be held on the �thof
April at the Annex at 7 : 30 to review the proposed new ordinance.
The meeting adjourned at 10:15 , with the next meeting to be held on
TUESDAY, April ..?W at 7 : 00.
