CITY HALL, MADISON & JEFFERSON ST. , YORKVILLE, ILLINOIS
Those present were Jim Nanninga, J.T. Johnson, Bill Dettmer, Bill
Schmanski, Becky Johnson, Ralph Pfister, Tim Fairfield, John
Nemanich.
Jim Nanninga introduced and welcomed Tim Fairfield of BKEMS
to the Planning Council as a new member of the Planning Council.
301 VAN EMMON
Mr. John Nemanich presented to the council a diagram of future
parking for 301 Van Emmon. Mr. Nemanich owns the house at 301 Van
Emmon and intends to let the H.A.L.T. Club use the house for it's
office/meetings . The H.A.L.T. Club is a 12 step alcohol/drug
recovery program. (non-profit through the State of Illinois)
Jim Nanninga asked if the house needs to be re-habed. Mr. Nemanich
stated that the house is in move-in condition and will just need
some minor polishing later on. The only problem to be addressed is
the public parking. Mr. Nemanichs ' diagram shows 8 new parking
places to be added on the west side of the house with 1 handicap
parking space being added to the front (south) side of the house.
Mr. Nemanich stated that the H.A.L.T. Club will be holding fund-
raisers to pay for the improvements to the house.
Jim Nanninga asked about the R.O.W. J.T. Johnson said the R.O.W.
is 60 ' and a 10 ' R.O.W. on the south side and a 10 ' R.O.W. on the
north side. Jim Nannninga asked if maybe we could work a "deal"
with the city getting the 10 ' R.O.W. for a delay in the blacktop
parking. Mr. Nemanich said that was fine with him.
Jim Nanninga asked what would be the next step. Jeff Palmquist said
the office zoning will be fine for that property. Jeff also stated
he will do some "playing" with the parking places to see if more
can be fitted in.
Jim Nanninga told Mr. Nemanich that he would not need to be at the
next meeting but that we would contact him after next week.
Bill Schmanski stated that ADA will need to have a topography in
order for the office to meet the requirements .
Bill Dettmer stated that the office will also have to have handicap
access into the first floor of the office.
Bill Dettmer will go out and look at the house after clearing with
the tenant. Jim Nanninga asked Bill to check the house for other
problems while he was there. Jeff Palmquist said he would check the
outside of the building.
