Ordinance 1950-60 An ordinance Establishing A Police Department in the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois. Be it Ordained by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois: Section One: That the Police Department of said Village shall consist a Village Marshal, who shall also be known as Chief of Police, and who shall have all powers of conservator of the peace and of any peace officer and who shall serve until the first Monday of :lay following appointment and until his successor is appointed or this ordinance be repealed, and shall be appointed in the manner required by law. Section Two: The person so appointed shall make a report of his acts monthly, and in said report shall set forth number of arrests made by him, disposition of all cases involving arrests and the amounts of fines involved if any. Section Three : The salary of said appointee shall be such as may be fixed by appropriate action of the Village Board. Se__ ction .dour: All ordinances in conflict herewith, (ind uding an ordinance of July 14, 1947 relative to such police department) are hereby re- pealed. This ordinance shall be in effect from and after its pas- sage and approval.
