Ordinance 1944-74 Be it ordained by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois.
Section 1. There are hereby established the follow-
ing rules and regulations relative to parkin; of motor vehicles
in the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois, on Bridge,
from the north: line of Van Emon Street to the North Village limits:-
a. All vehicles shall be parked at the curb headed in
direction of travel, at an angle of approximately 4X
degrees to the curb, and shall be parked within marked
parking spaces, where such spaces are marked off on the
pavement, except on the east side of Bridge Street South
from a point which is the center of the line the Farm re
State Bank of Yorkville, Illinois, property extended, to
the north line of said Van Emon street, all vehicles shall
be parked in the direction of travel and so placed that
neither right wheel shall be further than 12 inches from
the curb, and not nearer than four feet to either end of
any other standing vehicle, and within marked ?parking spaces
where such spaces are marked off on the pavement.
b. No motor vehicle shall be parked which if parked would
extend toward the center of the street more than P feet,
from the respective curb lines of said street] or beyond
the outer or back line of a marked parking space.
c. No motor vehicle, except fire equipment and equipment
of the Village of Yorkville, shall be parked at any time
within 15 feet of any fire hydrant.
d`. No motor vehicle shall be t)on Bridge Stree
between the south .line of the rail of the Chicago, Bur-
lington, and quincy Railroad Company, and a line parallel
thereto and 50 feet south of said south line.
e. No motor vehicle shall be parked on Bridge Street
between the north line of Hydraulic Avenue and a line
parallel thereto and _X 0 feet north of said north
lire of Hydraulic Avenue.
f All motor vehicles parking or parked shall also
fully comply with all State laws with reference thereto.
Section 2. harked spaces, may be painted upon the pave-
ment of Bridge Street, and where angle parking is permitted here-
by, the lines designating such spaces shall be parallel and AA,,
feet apart and extend back from the curb, at an angle of approx-
imately degrees, to a line painted on the pavement 1 `7
feet from, and parallel to the respective curb lines of Bridge
Street, and where parallel parking is permitted, a line shall be
painted parallel to and feet from the curb line, and where
parking is prohibited hereby, or by State law such spaces may be
designated by markings of "No Parking" .
Section ?. Any violation of the rules and regulations
set forth in .Section I. hereof, by any person or corporation shall
constitute a, violation of this ordinance, and be punished by a,
fine of not less than $1.00 or more than X25.00 and costs.
Section 4. The invalidity of any section, or part there-
of, shall not effect the remainder hereof, and this ordinance
shall only repeal ordinances or paxts of ordinances in direct
conflict therewith.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, signing and approval, and
publication.
